We recently checked out of the St Regis Bangkok and we were underwhelmed, and disappointed in our experience. First, the front desk is utterly useless. At checkin, we were provided no information regarding the facilities or times. Nor any information regarding our STARS luxuriate longer benefits. We could barely communicate with her but we were so tired from our flights we headed to our room. Then during our stay, we realized we had no information regarding room service (since we had to quarantine the first day), spa services, or any other services for that matter. Calls to the front desk multiple times each resulted in them telling us the information was on our desk in the room. Every time we had to argue with them that it wasn’t, so they finally would send someone with the proper information. Setting up anything through the concierge was a chore because we would talk to the front desk and they would say we would have to talk to the concierge. However, the concierge was on the bottom level that we never would see unless we were leaving the hotel. Calls route to the front desk and they were unable to forward us to the concierge. When we finally talked to the concierge, they were amazing. Tom especially. The bar had variable service. One person refused to leave us a fork to eat sliced papaya we had bought at a store (while ordering drinks and food at the bar). But then the next waitress Noonie, was shocked and plated the papaya, brought us silverware, brought my friend a mask as his had unknowingly dropped on the floor, and closed the shades without being asked because the sun was in his eyes. Service was so dichotomous at times. The final frustration was on checkout. With the STARS program we were suppose to receive 100 food and beverage and 100 dollar hotel credit. The front desk (can you sense a theme?) didn’t give us the 100 hotel credit. I had to ask about it and they called someone who said it was another food and beverage credit. This stipulation was never told to us and the hotel acknowledged it multiple times that it was their mistake. They apologized multiple times but refused to give the $100 hotel credit that comes with the STARS program. Instead of trying to make their guest happy and correct their mistake, they kept insisting there was nothing they could do. My advice, stay somewhere else if you want five star service. There are multiple five star hotels including next door. I have never been so disappointed

The butler service was, fantastic, but it should not be the only attraction for the hotel. Also, with Forbes Travel Guide’s Award for services, that should application to all hotel’s unit, a well manage service should expected. But from what we have experienced the minute we decided to choose the St. Regis until the end of the stay are, well, should have expected a whole lot less. That’s quite a surprise for luxury hotel under MAR. Too many unfortunate and unexpected events, should be manageable but not, happen. We experienced an unprofessional management. Well, we thought that the struggle we faced at the time of check-in, which it took a long time and involved too many people, will be solved at the time the Director of Room cut in, might be better, but it’s actually the other way around. The problem was unsolved, and the time we spend waiting is even longer. The look and behavior of the man was just disregarding the problem and try to, might be, giving it to the other team instead of trying to solve it as a whole St. Regis. That accumulate even more people that we have to contact with, which it was tiring, because it’s a weekend. We feel that the man trying to put a blame on to other, worse, in front of a checking-in guest, think about it. The more uneasy was going on that the man just not solving anything after cutting, he then left to meet with the other guest. The behavior is unacceptable, because the way the man behaved with us compare to the other, it’s discrimination and racism act, which it was unacceptable and unprofessional. As a Director of Room, do you even acknowledge that there was electrical issue during our stay, twice, and it was not resolve swiftly? A vacation with a stranger trying to fix the electrical issue at 10:00 PM, what a horrible experience. Hope this message should find its light one way or the other with the level of this “LUXURIOUS” hotel under MAR with Forbes Travel Guide’s service recommendation 2021.

The St Regis is a classic, but modern five star luxury hotel. The location is 9 out of 10 - Sukhumvit is maybe a bit more alive at night - but the Central Park-like view from the Pool Area is really great. The Pool Area is nice to hang out at, the rooms are modern and luxuriously furnished (ask for the Metropolitan suite - very spacious and still reasonably priced), the breakfast buffet on the weekends is spectacular, the brunch even better. But what makes this Hotel stand out for us is the concierge service, I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world. These guys are just exceptional, ultra responsive, creative, quick on their feet and super friendly - special thanks to Atiphol / Atiphon and his team - simply amazing! Looking forward to our next stay!

My husband and I traveled to Thailand for the first time via Thai Pass and arrived to the Bangkok airport. From there we had a driver on time waiting for us. Our driver was very friendly and drove us straight to the hospital ER for our Covid tests. We went through the drive thru and it took about 5min. From there we went to the hotel and quarantined in our room until we received our results back. We were so surprised at how seamless the whole process was. We paid extra for expedited results and received them in less than 6hrs. Our entire stay at the St. Regis was easy and fun. From the doormen to the breakfast staff, everyone always greeted us with a smile. The BTS accessibility made our whole time in Bangkok stress free. Coming from NYC there is no comparison in the ease and simplicity of the process of using the sky train. We loved the location of this hotel and could easily get to the river area or the shopping districts. Chanon in Concierge was exceptionally helpful with setting up our tours or answering our questions regarding Covid testing regulations. Breakfast was excellent and had a little bit of everything. We also really enjoyed our afternoon tea set. The gym and pool areas we clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent service from everyone in the restaurants, checkin, concierge, fitness room and room service/cleaning. Great room and pool. Even though we were here during vivid times and not too many guests all aspects of the hotel were functioning really well. Overall a top notch experience and I can definitely recommend.
