We stayed here as our base for travelling within Nepal and Bhutan. We have 3 main criteria, the 3 B's: Bed, bathroom and breakfast. All were excellent. In terms of rating, the Royal Singi would get 5 stars just for its staff. From the driver from/to the airport, the concierge staff, reception, restaurant and housekeeping all were so good. Nothing was too much trouble. It would be unfair to name any individual as all were so good. Location was ideal for the airport and all the main sights in Kathmandu. Well done, Ritu and John

Excellent hotel overall. Friendly and cheerful staff. The rooms were clean and spacious and food was also very good. The conference facility was well-equipped with AV and runs smoothly. Highly recommend this hotel at an affordable price!

When we were picked up from the airport by one of Royal Singi Hotel’s drivers, we knew we had made the right decision for our 1-week stay in Kathmandu. He navigated us through the hordes of taxi drivers fighting for passengers and managed to fit all of our luggage in the back of the van. He drove as smoothly as he could – the unruly roads in the city have plenty of potholes, but he managed to avoid them and the traffic easily. Without much traffic in the evening, the drive to Royal Singi Hotel from the airport was only about 15 minutes. It’s really the service at Royal Singi Hotel that sets it apart from many hotels in Kathmandu. The team went out of their way to make our stay special. For example: 1) By the third day, the wait staff at BLVD had memorised our breakfast coffee orders 2) One of their reception team stood in for a no-show tour guide to Pashupati Temple and explained the evening fire ceremony to us (which lasted about an hour) 3) Even the chef at the egg station during breakfast had prepped spinach from scratch when they had run out for a made-to-order masala omelette when one of our party couldn’t eat anything else. Another perk to staying at Royal Singi Hotel is its prime location in the city. Being only a few blocks away from the Durbar Marg and Thamel, we were just a quick walk to some of Kathmandu’s must-see sights and party scene. And a little further away we easily reached Asan, Indra Chowk and Durbar Square. The décor in the lobby is grand with dark wood accents, marble floors and chandeliers. Meanwhile, the rooms share the same dark wood accents as the lobby and are equipped with the essentials. There were a few welcome surprises like the walk-in rain shower and bidet, which are much needed after spending your day exploring the city. Must-haves at the breakfast buffet are the masala chai and the other local dishes that rotate in their selection. They’re flavourful and really woke our senses up even if we hadn’t had a lot of sleep the night before. The assortment also includes western mainstays like bacon, sausage and grilled tomatoes if you’re looking for something more familiar. All in all, we’d recommend anyone to stay at Royal Singi Hotel, and we’ll definitely go there again on our next trip to Kathmandu.…

The Royal Singi Hotel is a great "home away from home" in Kathmandu. I stayed there for 7 nights in January and I can't fault the hotel. From the excellent buffet breakfast, to the wonderfully attentive and friendly staff, this is where I will stay whenever I am back in Nepal. The hotel is very clean with excellent facilities and very good wifi as well. And the location is brilliant, so close to everything. Thank you for your great attention!

This was my fourth time at the hotel, they have the perfect location, and the room that meets my requirement, its big and always clean, and it feels like home. I stayed at the hotel without any prior bookings this time, even-then they provided me with the best they had as it was pick season here in Nepal, that too with very reasonable rates and not to forget their cute Christmas package.
