Stayed here in March before and after the Everest base camp trek and couldn’t be happier about our stay. Everything was perfect, from the knowleadgeable hosts to the cleanliness of the place, great location and stunning view of the city from the rooftop. Would definetely recommend and will come back!
Raj and his family are super friendly and help you with everything you Need. The House is located close to the city center and the rooms are Really nice and clean. After we arrived, he introduced us to his Family and told us about the city while having a nice and Cold nepali beer on his rooftop with a gorgeous view over the city.
A friendly family and a good homestay! The organized a really good trekking with a excellent guide. The homestay is in a guit area of katmandu and the owner will bring you everywhere and is also a good guide. The rooms are clean and with a hoof warm shower in a dusty katmandu 😜
The guest house is comfortable and homely , the welcome and hospitality from Bijaya and his wife was outstanding , the food was good Bijaya Is the chairperson of the Third eye volunteer foundation Nepal , which organises all types of volunteer programmes, this organisation is extremely well run and I was looked after and supported from being picked up at the airport to the end of my time with the programme I want to visit Kathmandu again and would want to stay here again
We stayed 4 nights in total, both before and after our Everest region trek. Raj made our stay feel like home. The room was beautifully decorated and clean with a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed watching the monkeys from the deck and having breakfast on the rooftop. All the meals were delicious too. The location was great, just a short taxi ride to Thamel and an easy walk to the Swayambhunath Temple, also called the Monkey Temple. Raj suggested an excellent restaurant - so good we went twice. Anything you need he can arrange. You are totally taken care of in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
I booked 4 weeks of volunteering with Bijaya but ended up only doing three of them and spending the rest of the time with him and his family. He is a truly special person and this place became a home for me. I full heartily recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a loving and accepting person to work with and a home away for home. Adam
Great location 2km from Thamel, the capital's tourist section of the city. The hotel owner Bijaya is extremely friendly and easy going and knows the city like the back of his hand: temples, tours, meditation programs, he knows them all and gives great advice. They also offer 3 complimentary meals a day that you don't have to worry about getting sick. The rooms are very clean, have soft beds, and modern bathrooms! Also a nice terrace on the roof where you can look at mountains and the city.
Nice, clean newly built guesthouse with a wonderful rooftop deck, great view and more quiet than in Thamel. A short walk to the monkey sanctuary, 20 minute walk from Thamel (or a quick cab). Fun environment as they are associated with many volunteer programs so a lot of unique and interesting people from all over the world stopping through either volunteering or on their way to trek the Himalayas. The owners have a big network of service providers from Kathmandu to Pokhara and beyond, so they can help you out with any coordination or advice for tourist activities.
Love this place, the family, the people who come in and out .... would not stay anywhere else in katmadu city ... and you’ll be grateful for the green and trees and the cleaner air.... oh and the family, the friends and the amazing food. I’ve been so well looked after - it really is one huge family.
