I was in Lusaka for several months and I stayed at the Latitude 15 Hotel for the duration of my stay. The hotel staff are very, very friendly and helpful. They are quick to smile and greet you. They have time for a conversation. The rooms are spacious. Also, it is nice to walk out of your hotel room and always be in fresh air. Additionally, the hotel is like an art museum. If you are bored, you can wander the halls and look at artwork, crafts, photos, and old maps. There is something interesting in every corner. Overall, this was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time.

This small boutique hotel is located near the many embassies in Lusaka. The ambience here is relaxing. Upon arrival we were checked in and taken to our lovely and very spacious room. A king size bed with desk and chair, a television, a loveseat, chair and table. A small coffee station and a mini refrigerator (with bottled water to drink). A good size closet to stow your items in and a smaller storage area for the safe, hair dryer and insect sprays. The room is impeccably decorated with many traditional Africa touches. The linens and towels were extremely plush and comfortable. They supply you with 2 bathrobes in the room (made from beautiful African fabrics). The bed was so comfortable I wanted to sleep in, but we were in Africa... so that's not going to happen. Each room has its own AC unit which you can program to your comfort level. Due to load shedding that occurs in much of southern Africa they also have a back up generator, so loss of power never seemed to affect us, or at least we never noticed it. The bathroom is large with a large walk in shower and a large soaking tub. Amenities are provided in larger bottles but they were quality soaps and shampoos. The rooms are very quiet. Our first night there they had about 60% occupancy and it was quiet, our last night there they were 100% occupancy (with a wedding and a party) and it was still very quiet. Our room had french doors leading out to a small sitting area in a small grassy alcove of the hotel. The hotel has a pool but we never had a chance to use it as we were busy visiting our many friends there. The main lobby area opens up into a nice cozy common area filled with sofas and loveseats and chairs, with a bar and a fireplace in the middle. Very inviting when you are entertaining guests. The breakfast buffet was great, and the chef made omelets upon request. The restaurant is worthy of a visit in and of itself, and can be very busy, great food and large portions. The staff here are all so sweet and extremely helpful, they can't do enough for you as a guest! We absolutely love this boutique hotel - it will be our stay over on ALL future trips here. We look forward to our next visit!

I stayed at Latitude 15 for a 5 week business trip and it become my second home. The staff treated me like family, always watching out for my best interest and going above and beyond to be thoughtful. They were highly professional and personable. The chef and hotel manager made sure my culinary experience was remarkable. Loved the free laundry service. Housekeeping was on par every day! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Live music on Wednesday and Friday nights was a plus!

jasminepatel15 Thank you for choosing to stay at Latitude for your 5 week Zambia trip! I'm so glad to hear that the Team went out of their way to make you feel comfortable....long stays away from home are never easy, and it's lovely to hear that you felt at home with us! Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us; I'm especially delighted to hear that you experienced some delights created by Tobia (our new Exec Chef)! He really is going to take our dining experience to another level - and we can't wait for our guests to experience that! If you're even back in Zambia it would be wonderful to welcome you back! And if you happen to be in Uganda or Malawi for work, then I can assure you that the Teams at Latitude 0 and Latitude 13 will be just as welcoming as you found in Lusaka! Very best wishes!

the rooms is beautiful with lovely interior and comfortable beds and bathrooms. The room service was good. The hotel also took proper covid precautions. The food was however disappointing on the menu but a very good breakfast was included and was very high standard. The pool area had only 2 sun loungers so only 2 people in hotel can sunbathe at a time. The spa was also fully booked for the whole of our stay and we could not get a treatment but only had one therapist on duty, which doesn't make sense as hotel was fully booked. The one thing that really pulled this beautiful hotel right down was the noise late at night up to midnight it was like a club and again in the morning from 3am there was noise so did not get much sleep. Maybe if the rooms can be sound proof this place will be great.

Latitude 15 is a boutique type hotel with lots of enjoyable artwork throughout. Our room was very clean, with good air conditioning, good wifi connection, and a large bathroom. It also has a refrigerator and television. Toiletries were good quality and there’s plenty of hot water. Although we were near the lobby it was very quiet. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant with both indoor and outside seating. The bar area is very comfortable and you can order food there as well as a very good selection of cocktails, wines and beer. Pool area right off the bar. The restaurant menu has something for everyone, and food type is what I would call western comfort, although they have a small selection of local dishes. It’s not a foodie type menu but I was very happy with the calamari and chicken parmigiana. Breakfast was very good as well. Staff are pleasant and attentive. The location of the hotel is a bit distant from the airport but our taxi did it in about 40 minutes during the mid afternoon. I didn’t explore the area around the property so I can’t comment. This hotel would be a very good choice for a short stay or for an extended stay, and any guest will feel right at home.

The hotel is immaculately maintained. I went to the decently equipped gym and discovered a whole other beautiful side of the hotel I’d never come across. Love, love the decor, interior design and the calm neutral, brown/cream blue and green hues. Rooms spacious and very well fitted out. Also attentive eg I had both sides of the bed turned down on night 1, but this was changed to only one side turned down on nights 2 and 3, as I beleive they noticed that only one side had been slept on on the first night. Staff were efficient and friendly. Very quick to respond to asks.

Negatives is that food prices are qute steep, however for the quality of the stay, and limited options at this calibre in Lusaka, I would certainly return.

My wife and I stayed at Latitude 15 the day before our safari and at the tail end of our trip while we waited for our Covid test results. The hotel is beautifully appointed with local art work adorning the hallways and walls of the dining room, bar and public spaces. The service is terrific and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Everyone went the extra mile to make us feel safe and secure; all staff members wore masks and hand sanitizers were located throughout the hotel. The staff at the front desk arranged for all of our transfers to and from the airport as well as coordinated a visit to the test site to get a COVID test for our return flight to the US via Johannesburg. I highly recommend Latitude 15 as a comfortable spot to hang pre and post safari!

Latitude 15 Hotel Lusaka

First, this hotel is great, well located and the staff is absolutely
sensational. It is my first time in Zambia and certainly not the last
time. I can’t wait to come back.
The first thing that struck me, is the friendliness of the staff. I
have not encountered a friendly staff like here nowhere in the
world. I have been traveling for 45 years and visited over 30
countries.
The people at the reception were so nice, I felt welcomed
instantly. Everyone is nice, well groomed, attentive to our needs,
helpful, smiling and made me feel at home right away. Today, I
had questions about my flight tomorrow and the staff was great,
and helped me with everything I needed. They even called the
airline to resolve the issue I had about my bagage. I fly today to
Mfuwe lodge for 5 nights.
My first encounter after I checked in was the staff smiling at me
and directing me because I got lost a few times. The jet lag hit
me hard. I took me 2 days to get here. I really appreciated the
warmth the staff gives us here. EVERYONE is smiling all the time,
EVERYONE greets you even if they see you 10 times a day. I
have never encountered that kind of treatment anywhere in the
world. Congratulations to the team that works here.
I have taken all my meals here and the food is excellent all the
way. The food is tasty, well presented and the portions are
sufficient. Every single thing I took was tasteful and a delicacy. I
will recommend your hotel to all travel agencies in Montreal.
Specifically to my guide next week.
Finally, I wished I had known about this place because I would
have stayed here one week. I have to go to JNB 4 times during
my stay in Africa ( 5 weeks). I regret not to have heard about this
hotel before. I have chosen this hotel among 5 others that were
recommended to me, because of the beauty of this place. I
confirm to you that I will return in the near future for sure.
Thank you a thousand times for your hospitality.
Finally, I hope that you will inform the staff about my positive
feedback about your hotel.
Sincerely yours,

Benoît Guay (Room 19)

We stayed here for a night before and two nights after returning from safari. Having problems negotiating stairs we were allocated rooms on the groundfloor close to the bar and restaurant. The african artwork around the hotel was very interesting. We found all the staff we came across to be very pleasant and helpfull The food served in the restaurant was very good, the full English breakfast was excellent

From the superior food cooked by my note friend your Italian chef (if only the photos I’ve uploaded could justify the amazing taste), to the unmatched customer service, to the thorough house keeping staff to the amazing waiting staff, I was impressed with all! This was unquestionably one of the best stays I’ve ever had. I travel internationally monthly and sometimes weekly, whereby I have a lot of exposure to hotel stats. This was by far one of the best.
