On my way back to Nairobi from the Lake Kariba Siavonga, and since I had to catch the 2.00am flight back to Nairobi on the morning of the 30th January, I got a room to freshen up, eat and rest before heading to the Airport at Lusaka. I chose the Southern Sun Ridgeway whose location was ideal for accessing the Lusaka CBD and not far from the airport. My room was superb very very neat and quiet and very relaxing. I had a wonderful dinner in their restaurant which was packed, and even met one of their friendly service staff who had lived in same area that I live Kenya. The airport transfer was smooth and on time in one of their spacious shuttles. A very warm and welcoming place to stay in.

Nice place and very friendly. Rooms are very clean, service done daily. Wifi is fast. Breakfast tasty and descent. Only the swimming pool could be more cleaned and water is cold. Only this all the rest is really nice and a nice experience. Worth visiting

The good stay i had at southern sun contributed to my successful business trip. This is because i did not have to worry about meals and i woke feeling very fresh every morning. The room was very quiet so i enjoyed my sleep after a hard day. The breakfast was good and was ready to served before 6AM every day. I also had a chance to in interact with staff and other guests at cocktail organised by the hotel on Wednesday.

I’ve been staying here for many many years. Never again. Restaurant service is appalling.(breakfast and dinner) You have to ask someone to take your order then there’s always a delay with the usual excuse of oh we’re busy. In that case employ more people. Wifi is also an issue - the room I was allocated has virtually no wifi connectivity. I’m in Lusaka on business,I need wifi. Unfortunately I’ve pre paid for my 4 night stay otherwise I’d have checked out and found another hotel.

Perfect quality stay, friendly staff and very nice rooms. The food was high quality and the reception was always helpful for any problem. The reception will also helpful for any activities in the city of Lusaka. I would certainly recommend this stay for friends and business trips.

We had a four day (UABA) workshop 21-24 February, hosted in their conference center. The facilities were great, secluded from the hotel guest. The food was on point. The staff were extremely helpful, attended to all our needs and made sure our delegates were comfortable. Thanks to @Lashiwe and team for making it happen.

I travelled to Lusaka for a 2 day meeting and I was recommended to stay at Southern Sun Ridgeway. I did not have many time to walk around but the hotel is located in a very safe and calm area. The rooms are very nice and well organized. One aspect that I liked was the decoration of the room..very modern and following the trends. The breaksfast was wonderful with a plenty of options and everday there was something new. The buffet that the hotel prepares every Tuesday is awesome and delicious. Definitely Southern Sun Ridgeway is a very nice option to stay in Lusaka.

Rooms are neat as usual and service good. However, breakfast has deteriorated, used to be nice crispy streaky bacon, now soggy, unappestising back bacon. Also, music played at night gives it a township brothel vibe. Please sort it out.

I stayed at the Southern Sun Ridgeway in October. Despite the energy challenges in Zambia, I had a fantastic stay with excellent service from the staff, including Dyness, Gladys and the staff. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and courteous and amenities are very good. The hotel is situated in a nice part of soccer and there is parking available as well as free Wi-Fi. Breakfast are very well appointed with options for most tastes. Even though Zambia is currently suffering with energy crisis, the disruption at the hotel was minimal and the Wi-Fi was always live. I have stayed here on numerous occasions and have always received exemplary service. I can recommend this hotel whether it is a business or personal trip and I will definitely be returning here!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Was a nice blend of formal yet friendly and warm. Feeding time with their crocodiles was definitely a highlight! Tip: when they are feeding (Tyes and Thurs) ask and they will let you do the feeding! I will definitely book here next time I visit.
