Best hotel experience ever. From check in to check out. Amazing service, way beyond expectations. The word NO doesn’t exist in their vocabulary. The only hotel I ever visited that every stuff member knew my name, and the actual general manager greeted and made sure every guest was happy. ( he was actually present everywhere, restaurant, reception, pool area).
The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, mattress and pillows and bedding were excellent.
Restaurant menu and wait stuff were extraordinary.
I highly suggest that you try their deserts buffet!!! Unique experience that no one should miss.
I will definitely be back.!

We stayed at Latitude last weekend, and absolutely loved every minute of our stay. All of the staff members were very attentive and kind, and went our of their way to make us feel comfortable. In particular, I believe his name was Timothy, kept on finding us here and there to make sure we had all we needed, and informed us upon all the things we could do at the hotel during our stay. We were enjoying the resident pool and he came to inform us that rain was expected, to give us enough time to make our way to the restaurant. Also Jennifer was very kind - we were enjoying our breakfast and she picked up from our conversation that we just got married. A few minutes later she came with a special coffee she made to congratulate us, which was such a sweet gesture and really showed her genuine care.

The rooms were wonderful, we had a beautiful view over Kampala and the room provided all necessities. The hotel itself is like walking in a museum - each and every wall and space is thought through in every detail, and no corner or wall is left unused. Its extraordinary.

Regarding SOP's it was noticable that all staff members constantly wore their face masks properly, from the restaurant waiters to even gardeners and security members who did not even interact with guests. They maintained social distancing from guests and also rooms had a special seal showing the rooms were properly sanitized upon entrance.

The food was good (the continental and Uganda Heritage restaurant) and the breakfast was extensive and delicious.

Saturday was Independence day in Uganda, and Latitude organised a BBQ. Although I suppose some people surely appreciate such things, this might have been the only down-side of our stay. It was rather crowded and we felt such an event doesn't really fit in the serene envirionment and vibe of the hotel, but this is just our personal preference. We will come back, and I guess just make sure we don't book the hotel on public holidays.

We thank Latitude 0 & team for our memorable stay.

Dear Pleunie, Thank you for taking the time to write this most detailed review. First, we are thrilled that you learnt the names of our star performers and have shared this feedback. It goes a long way in boosting team morale by making our staff feel seen. We have notified both Timothy and Jennifer of their mentions. We regret that you did not find the Independence Day celebrations enjoyable but as you can imagine, it is among the biggest holidays in the country. Please feel free to check with our reservations team if there is anything on our event calendar ahead of your next booking. We thank you for being gracious guests. We loved hosting you and look forward to many more stays. Yours in hospitality,

Latitude boasts the most exceptional interior design and comfort that I have seen in Kampala alongside phenomenal hilltop views of both downtown and Lake Victoria. It is my go to choice for both accommodation and leisure. Regarding dinning, Latitude has a number of restaurants with quality yet affordable cuisine. Regarding leisure, Latitude has a modern gym and pool facility, that can be accessed via day passes.
Importantly, the rooms, dining and gym facilities are all positioned to enable constant site of the spectacular views previously mentioned. Sven and his team are always attentive to all guest and visitor needs (I will note my most recent server Silas was exceptional). All around - I highly recommended, whether to stay, for a workout, a coffee, or for dinner.

Hi Vincedewar, It is great to hear from you, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on your time with us with others! Reading your review it's evident that you have experienced almost everything that we have to offer our Guests and Visitors, and we love it when people do just that! With three restaurants, and multiple dining options in all of them, we like to think that there is something to appeal to everyone, and that no two visits or experiences will ever be the same. Our view across the city and over to Lake Victoria are very special, and are the reason we chose to create Latitude 0 in the position it is. We all look forward to being able to welcome you back again and again! Very best wishes

I would give them a 5* for deco because it’s so well presented and the ambience is magnificent; The staff were friendly and very polite. I however rate them low because I spent a lot on food and accommodation but didn’t get my money’s worth. We had dinner and slept one night; the food was not special as it mostly tasted like a pre-frozen meal. The rooms are basic, neatly presented but not worth the price, the pillows we were given smelt like they were laundered but they didn’t dry well so they smelled really bad (not sure what the cause of smell was though but they are feather pillows and each time you moved against them... they let out stinky air). We were checked into a room that had just had insecticide sprayed and we were not pre-warned about that, so with toxicology in play, allergies kicked in. The insecticide was bittersweet because it seems there are plenty of mosquitoes but, despite having had the room sprayed, we spent the night fighting mosquitoes. They should consider mosquito nets or another way to keep mosquitoes away.

Dear Freda1x, It's always disappointing to hear when we have have not lived up to our guests' expectation as obviously we would love everyone to leave Latitude 0 having had a wonderful stay. Whilst I'm glad to hear that you love the decor and the ambience, I will take your comments on the food and the room to the F&B and Housekeeping Departments respectively so that they are able to see where they need to make improvements, though I can assure you that all of our meals are prepared from scratch, when they are ordered. I do hope that you will be back again soon so that we can show you that what you experienced was definitely not the norm at Latitude 0. Until then, very best wishes

I have stayed in many hotels and am quite fussy about standards of service and decor. I am happy to say this hotel exceeded my expectations. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed and I consider the room to be of very good value. I have stayed in other hotels which cost more and are nowhere near as nice. The beauty in this place is overwhelming with such amazing attention to detail. There are photo opportunities around every corner!
One of my favourite things was the complimentary breakfast buffet which was nicer than big buffets at some of the big, expensive hotels in Kampala.
The service was great and the staff were so friendly. We felt like honoured guests! I will certainly be back again as I did not want to leave. We needed some time away to relax and refresh from the bustle of Kampala and we only had one night but I feel like a new person! When you stay there one day can feel like a week and it is a true haven which creates a new world for those staying there. Thank you for building such a gem for us to experience!
My only negative is that the cost of the restaurant is a bit out of our budget - otherwise I think I would be there every night!

This place is full of ambience with the most incredible decor, you can feel the love and passion put into every area of the hotel. The food is great and the cocktails are a must try- I highly recommend the Burbon Smash!!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and like the rest of the hotel beautifully designed; loved that there was fresh roast coffee and a french press in the room, not just the usual instant coffee. The housekeeping team were all so so nice- every single staff member said hi as they passed making us feel really at home. Victor and team at the front desk also did a great job. The spa let us down a little in terms of services but its decor was beautiful.
All in all a great experience.

My visit to Latitude 0 wasn’t for a leisure stay, but rather a brief business meeting. It took roughly 30 minutes, but in that short time, I found good reason to spend my next family holiday here.
Its architectural design features a mix of Indian, Arabic, and African themes that were crafted with attention to detail and a touch of luxury. I still have vivid memories of its colourful collection of windows from Zanzibar.
A tour through the boutique hotel feels like a walk through a spacious multi-cultural museum as it has a vast collection of antiques, royal regalia and rustic furniture, most of which have a rich history. The decor style is soft muted colours – very calming and warm. Their hotel’s choice of furniture is perfect and complements the space.
If you want to experience the healing power of nature during your stay here, I recommend a stay in the rooms with unobstructed views of Lake Victoria. As you standing by their windows or balconies, you can experience the relaxing breeze of this scenic blue gem that prides in being Africa’s biggest freshwater lake.
While all this is great, what really blew me away though is that despite having a very busy schedule, latitude’s staffs don’t find it bothering to check on guests, just to ensure that all is well. Such includes Faith and Agnes.
If you love quiet destinations and resorts that are worth a star recommendation, You should be here!

Dear Oleny S, We have so often, in each of our hotels, been compared to an art gallery and museum - and it's so good to read that you agree! We like to think of our interiors as a collection - with pieces of art collected from around Africa, and indeed beyond, all curated to showcase the ingenuity of the artists and artisans that created them. Some of the signature pieces are in fact bespoke, and have been designed and created specifically for us by community initiatives in Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi - where we have other hotels as well. One of the wonderful things about our location, on the steep hill of Makindye, is the escape it offers from the busy city - while surrounding us with the most incredible views... You mentioned the views over to Lake Victoria in your review - and we agree, they are fantastic! But likewise, because of our elevation we have a stunning view over the entire city of Kampala - and at night, with the twinkling lights it really is quite spectacular! We hope that your business meeting was productive, and that you also had the time to take a tour of The Works - our modern, but very creatively different, workspaces and meeting rooms. These are specially designed to make work not feel like work - and to blend everything that you need to get productivity working at maximum with the benefits of great socialising and networking spaces. We do hope that we will be able to host some of your meetings at Latitude 0 in the future! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Latitude, with your family, for some rest and relaxation! And until then, lots of best wishes from the Team here!

Went to latitude 0 late yesterday afternoon to get the Sunday brunch, but found that it finishes at 4.00pm. Lovely hotel right at the top of a huge hill with views of Kampala everywhere. The Italian restaurant provided a quality dining experience, my duck was super tasty and the accompanying veg was beautiful presented and tasty. Good sized portions too. My partners ox cheek was spot on and delicious. Must recommend this place, only opened in October as one of the best, if not the best fine dining experience in Kampala. Can't wait to try the Sunday brunch shortly!

we visited Latitude last year (Me and my wife) to celebrate our wedding anniversary , we ate at one of the restaurants ( the Asian) and we were in awe of how beautiful the decor of the hotel is, the art, the attention to the details, the luxury of the whole place... so this year we decided for our anniversary to spend a night.
we came in the middle of the week because we both had to go back to work in the morning, but at the same time we didn't want to celebrate in down town Kampala, so the location was perfect for us, both close and far, you feel that you left the hustle of the city, it is on a hill with nice views ( won't say amazing views but nice views), but at the same time not very far from town.
the hotel is still as last year, we were still in awe, this time we decided to come a bit earlier to really check the place and we weren't disappointed, the attention to the details from the lobby to the restaurants to the lounge areas to the rooms itself is so amazing. you don't feel yourself in Kampala! and trust me i know all the hotels in Kampala, even the most expensive and the most luxurious don't have that level of "awe" feeling.
Of course the place itself is not enough to be rated 5, it can still be ruined with other stuff! well it didn't !
we start with customer care! in one night we met very good employees, the first one was Eliod! we had to knew his name because we kept on calling the main bar for drinks to our room! hehe, his service was exquisite and fast, ended up offering to take our photos!! very good!!
the second great employee we met was Rose at the Mediterranean restaurant! i called and booked a dinner some days before i come to the hotel to celebrate, Rose took care of us really professionally and more!! the table was decorated to celebrate us, we felt so "treasured"! Rose made sure everything was on point until the cake surprise for my wife!! those 2 employees gave the hotel the x factor for us!!
Food: wow, really nice i would say! ok you can see it is a luxurious restaurant when the price is expensive vs a small portion , won't deny that, that's what high class restaurants do, but what we ate was worth every Shilling! and even my wife finished all her food , trust me it never happens
All in all, great job, keep it up! you gain yourselves customers, if not for the hotel, at least for the restaurant!!

Dear naderbarrak, It is always so rewarding to read a review such as the one of your stay with us at Latitude 0. And a very special and happy occasion for you both! We are honoured to have been chosen for you both to celebrate your anniversary not once but twice - and we truly hope that we will be able to share in many more with you over the coming years! Thank you for taking the time both to write a review, and to explore the many different areas of the hotel that our Guests and Visitors have access to. We love when people really stop to appreciate the intricacies of all of the art that we have curated throughout the hotel - much of it from some of the best artists in Uganda and the region! We are proud to be able to showcase their incredible art, alongside signature statement pieces created for us by community initiatives that we support and are close to our heart. The entire Team are filled with gratitude that they were able to go above and beyond for you both - and that you had a treasured time with us! Please come back again soon! Until then very best wishes for the year ahead!

Latitude 0 took great care of our family. We had a three month old. They were very accommodating with offering a baby bed and gave us an upgrade. They were checking to see that we had all we needed several times a day. They have filtered water and replenished the water in our room any time we requested.
