I have enjoyed staying at Pumula 4 times now & I only have high praise for this very special hide-a-way accommodation. Every friend I have taken or sent there has given a very positive review. Their website is completely accurate- you will not be disappointed!

It always feels homely to come to Pumula over and over. Worked with Christina, Mrs Teresa Van Zyl and Now we got lost how to get to our usual home after Mrs Van Zyl left.. We will keep coming after we find the contact details.

While searching for acommodation in Windhoek I noticed that many guesthouse were somewhat more expensive than I expected. Then I saw the reasonable prices for this establishment and the good reviews so I decided to book a room.

Excellent location, good service great dinners - We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Originally we booked for one night, but we decided to stay and take a break from the long trip. A very nice place to relax. Had dinner (You have to prebook your dinner and they bring it to your room) there one night and we enjoyed it. We did not have a self catering unit, but we still found the facilities more than adequate. Breakfast is good and very inexpensive. We got the last room available a few days before arriving so you may want to prebook. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. A nice host as well. Lots of birds came to the feeders near the deck (the owner added food to the feeders when we asked about birds).

Very enjoyable. Good value for the money. We would stay here again if visiting Windhoek.

This was a great place to stay. Very friendly hostess and staff. Great breakfast. We will definitely stay there again when in Windhoek. The photo's on the website does not do justice to the place. It is nicer than what we expected. We will recommend Pumula Self Catering

WOW, WOW WOW! We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Pumula. Our unit was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It had everything we needed to prepare our own meals. The units have a hotel bouquet DSTV plus wi-fi, which was great for our teenage boy. A beautiful thatched central entertainment area, with gas "braai", cutlery & crockery and right next to the pool. A mini buffet breakfast is optional at a minimal charge of N$50 (about $3,50) and includes muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, selection of deli meats, bacon, sausages, eggs (done to order), toast, tea, coffee & juices. Christine (the owner) was exceptionally helpful and hands-on. I can highly recommend this accommodation and will stay here again.

Since there isn't much information about this accommodation, it was somewhat of a risk taking friends along to this establishment but this little place packs a punch! From the moment you arrive, there is a good feel about this small establishment which is further confirmed by a friendly hostess and staff. This is situated in a quiet neighbourhood which is close to the CBD. It is neat, tastefully decorated and well equipped for an extremely comfortable stay. You have TV and free Wi-fi thrown in as well. This definitely is value for money when compared to other establishments in a similar price bracket.

We stayed for 3 nights since we drove up for a friend's wedding. The welcome from Christine was so friendly and warm, really lovely.

We booked a family apartment, and it was well equipped and the beds were made up with nice linens. We slept well all three nights and really enjoyed the place, from the apartment to the braai area to the gorgeous friendly doggies! I would definitely recommend a stay here if in Windhoek.

As overnight accommodation in Windhoek is pricy, we were glad when we learned about this affordable, nice place from a friend. We overnight on our way to South Africa and needed freezing facilities overnight. The owners made a freezer in their house available and enable us to get it out very early in the morning when we were on our way.
They really gave us a friendly welcome, showed us around and showed how everything in our room worked.
The spacy, air conditioned room, with shower, had everything we needed and was clean and safe. Our vehicle had safe parking as well, that is a real necessity in Windhoek.
We will certainly stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at Pumula Guest House. The rooms are well equipped with a small kitchenette and on-suite bathroom (only shower available). The owner is helpful and friendly. They do have a swimming pool. Each room has it's own private entrance with a little outside area.

I recently visited Windhoek to participate in the Desert Dash Cycle Challenge and was lucky enough to book in at Pumula. Christine and hubby were more than accommodating and as a plus both had done the Dash themselves. The room while not self-catering was ideal. It was well appointed and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were more than enough. The only negative (a very minor one at that) was that our room was near in proximity to their bar and so there was a a little of "chatter" in our room. That did not really detract but was noticeable. The tips given about the Dash were invaluable and I am happy to say I completed the cycle race as a solo. I hope to be back again in 2016 and will not look anywhere else but Pumula. Thank you Christine. Will and Ann Peniston
