Detailed Reviews
Urban Camp is not only a campsite. It's a friendly space where to meet travellers, a very well organized location where you can have a good breakfast with daily fresh ingredients as well as a delicious lunch or dinner. The staff is very helpful and kind. The tents are absolutely clean, comfortable and can give you the sensation to feel as you were already into the wild.
To get to the city center it takes 15 minutes by walking and nearby the place there are some small supermarkets.

We stayed for one night before travelling overland. Urban Bamp is the perfect location to prepare for a longer journey. It's very close to supermarkets and other store that might be of interest for you. Camping sites are spacious, under shadow roofs, have well-maintained shared ablutions. Personnel is very helpful, and breakfast is great.

We slept in this property upon our arrival in Windhoek, the staff were super welcoming, the room and common services were spotless. We opted to have dinner at the internal restaurant, which was very good. There is no shortage of spaces for independent barbecues.

We stayed here on arrival and departure from Windhoek. The ablution facilities are clean- however on both stays we found the hot water not quite warm enough for showers.
We were in a campervan and had our own shelter and the shade of a large tree. Security included an electric fence and guard at the main gate in the evening. There was a bit of noise overnight between traffic and some sort of machinery- but nothing that was bad enough to keep you awake for long.
Everything was extremely clean, the food at the eatery was good and my gluten free diet was catered for. The pool area looked inviting if the weather was warm enough
The staff were happy and singing which made the ambience while we had breakfast very enjoyable.
If you need somewhere to stay to catch an early flight I'd definitely look at Urban Camp.

We really enjoyed the warm welcome, the lovely tents, wide and comfortable beds. The room is also very smartly designed with wireless charging points, drinking water and a lot of room for your luggage. The shared showers and toilets were very clean and spacious. Cherry on top: the cute beer garden and cafe shop at the reception.

Urbancamp is perfectly located in Windhoek. Once you drive in to Urbancamp it's hard to believe you're in the town - the sites are big, the amenities (and there are a few around the camp) are well appointed, clean and well lit. The staff are happy and willing to help and the pub/restaurant serves a great range of drinks and the food is delicious. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at Urban Camp our first night in Namibia at the start of a 3 week camping trip. We booked a glamping tent since we did not yet have our vehicle. I thought Urban Camp was charming. I really enjoyed our brief stay there. We walked to Joe's Beerhouse for dinner and had a very tasty breakfast at the Urban Camp restaurant. One thing I will note is there was some background noise at night (occasional dogs barking and traffic noise) which is to be expected in a city location. I noticed the next morning that there were ear plugs in our glamping tent. If we ever return to Namibia I would definitely stay at Urban Camp again.

We booked accommodation based on a Google search of places close to Joe's Beer Garden and I am so glad we picked it. The place is a gem located in the heart in Windhoek and provided amazing faciities and a great atmoshpere. Well worth the visit and a great start to our week in Namibia.

Please do ask the reseptionist! They were very helpful, specially when we ask if we can braai with our friend and if there is any exstra cost to it? The Lady replied she will come back to us, since we were only staying for one night in a tent accom, within 10 min she came back with the reply, you are welcome!, hope there is still an open BBQ place for you, unless you want to share! Wonderful news for us, two elderly ladies desperate "lus" for "braaivleis".
I would ask when booking BUT why Braai when Joe's Beerhouse is close and you get the best food ever!! hope that helps you
