Not too far from Windhoek airport this luxury lodge was a welcome rest at the end of our multi lodge safari in Namibia. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the luxury accommodation and very attentive staff. The food was excellent, swimming pool sublime, and our extra

Omaanda is a high end boutique hotel, truly amazing, but maybe somewhat over the top, so I would not call it a lodge! As said before, the staff is wonderful! When we asked to have dinner on our terrace, it was not a problem so we had very relaxed dinners “at home”! The food is

Dear Mamitanl, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about Omaanda and letting the world know about our lodge. Especially as we have recently opened, your comments are hugely important for us, not only so that other travelers might get to know us and feel more confident to make a reservation, but also for us to improve. Your remark about how the reserve is marketed, is a fair point and we agree with you. At this very moment we are in the process of changing the narrative of our communication. As one other person already mentioned here on tripadvisor, we are not a typical safari destination. As you so correctly describe, we are more a private sanctuary. Many of our animal residents, were actually saved from a conflict situation with humans. As it is our hope that one day we can set them free, it is crucial that they keep their survival instinct and their wildness intact. This makes the Zannier reserve different from other game reserves and it is not for granted that whilst going on a drive on our private reserve you will see our lions, giraffes, elephants, wild dogs, rhinos, cheetahs… Sometimes they hide. But for me that makes it all the more special when you do see them. It is very important that our guests know and understand the true mission of the reserve and that one can know what to expect. So thank you for making this point. The whole team thanks you for the wonderful comments about our staff. Your compliments let them shine with joy. And we thank you for the lovely compliments on the food. We love that you so much appreciated the visit to the sanctuary and the explanations by Ivan and the wonderful work the anti-poaching unit does for our reserve. With the kindest regards, On behalf of the Omaanda team, Annelie Maes

Dear c0c0papill0n, Thank you on behalf of the entire Omaanda team that you took the time to write a review about our ‘magical’ lodge and letting the online reading community know about your unforgettable stay at Omaanda. We are especially pleased with your comments about the experience as a whole because this is exactly what we aim to give all our guests: a unique experience that is not just about a beautiful room, a great massage and delicious food, but about adventures, human and animal contact and memories that you can take home with you and that will hopefully last you a lifetime. It was a great pleasure having you here and hopefully we will see you again soon! With kindest regards, On behalf of the Omaanda team, Annelie Maes Food and beverage manager

Dear Marchof85, Thank you for your review of Omaanda that you recently posted on our Tripadvisor webpage. Although it is highly unusual that a colleague from the travel industry – staying with us at a heavily discounted rate – reviews a hotel publicly, we appreciate you taking the time to critique your recent stay at our lodge. First of all thank you for your positive remarks about the service of lunch and dinner and about the beautiful design of our lodge. It is a great compliment for our waiting staff and our designer, who put their heart in their efforts and it will only encourage to do even better. I will pass these remarks onto all concerned. I am a bit surprised that you comment that there is only one choice for dinner. We do have a set menu as we work with fresh and local produce, but for the main course we always offer the choice between a meat, fish or vegetarian option and I do recall discussing this with you and your partner. We always try to get information about the food preferences and dietary requirements from our guests beforehand and we adapt the menu accordingly and we do all we can to fulfill our guests every wishes. The starter that evening was an oryx carpaccio and as your partner had indicated being vegetarian, we served her an avocado salad with a parmesan cookie, red radishes, sesame and grapefruit. And I do recall that you both had a different main course. As for the game drive, you are correct that on that specific evening the cars drove behind each other. This was exceptional. The norm is that the cars drive out separately. For your other remarks, we take these very seriously and are investigating what went wrong and how this situation can be avoided. We strive to make our guests stay as smooth and comfortable as possible and you can be assured that we will take action not to let this happen again. We take your remark about the early breakfast into account and have changed the setup so that it is more elaborate and caters to everyone’s appetite. Thank you again for your review. Without constructive feedback such as yours we cannot continue to achieve the highest levels of service that we aspire to and that you as guests have a right to receive and deserve. With the kindest regards, Annelie Maes Food and beverage manager Omaanda

Was picked up in a nice new safari green van, waited in line for over an hour at immigration so sparkling water, cookies & fresh fruits in the car were a great way to start the trip. 45 minutes later, checked into room 8, one of ten “huts” with an unobstructed & mesmerizing

Dear Anilegna, We are so pleased that you kindly took the time to write a review of Omaanda on Tripadvisor. On behalf of the entire team here at Omaanda, we are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay here and enjoyed the comfortable room. We are particularly pleased that you so much enjoyed and appreciate the work we do here at the Zannier reserve by N/a’ankuse. And that you had this amazing experience with Kobus to help the injured rhino and that you could feed the baby rhino at the sanctuary. Thank you for the kind words on your guide Balon. Your feedback will only make him more passionate about his work. On behalf of the restaurant team, we are very grateful for your wonderful comments on the food and the service. It is very appreciated and encourages the entire team to do even better. About the wifi, we are aware that the wifi should be faster and are actively looking for solutions to make it better. We sincerely hope that you will have the chance to visit us again and test the spa and the pool and finish the behind the scenes tour. Thanks again for taking the time to write this lovely comment on Tripadvisor, and letting the online reading community know about your stay at Omaanda.
