I visited the guesthouse with a friend. Really enioyed the hospitality. Great facilities. Excellent central location. My room was very nice. Only suggestion I can make is to provide a larger bath towel. Would definitely use again
This guesthouse is beautifully designed, and is a haven in Maputo. Fantastic base for exploring, Celia the manager was so helpful with anything we needed, giving us advice and recommendations in the city. The rooms were lovely and clean and the breakfast was out of this world! Would definitely recommend.
I've spent the last month traveling through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique. Out of all the guesthouses and hotels I've stayed at, Palmeiras is the one that stands out. As many others have noted, the breakfast is to die for—a medley of Portuguese delights, most of which I couldn't describe, let alone name. The grounds themselves are gorgeous too—a maze of tiny courtyards and charming sitting rooms. And the staff, predictably, were wonderful as well. I only got to spend two nights here, and honestly wish I could stay longer. I'll be back sooner rather than later, I suspect. Maputo is a city to watch.
Ideally located between high center and low town, this guest house is a peaceful green haven, nicely decorated. Celia and all the staff will welcome you warmly and advise you around. Breakfast is hearty and delicious
