The hotel offered all the conditions for the event to run perfectly. The staff was very attentive and polite. As for the location, I consider it perfect for any type of event. The food, the view to the lake and the sea, the rooms are simply memorable. Oh, and not to mention the background music and the lovely dogs. Note: The hotel is very clean and had in all the corners alchool gel and the staff was wearing they mask all the time.
Their service is great. I found a super gentle, helpful and warm staff willing to make my trip extra special. The entire place was super clean, my room, the restaurant and the beach as well. The room was nice, clean and tight, with all amenities I needed. I loved the fact that was no Wi-Fi in the Bangalow areas, so I got tranquil sleep not having to worry about radiation. Even with Covid19, they made sure that everything was clean. I felt super safe throughout my entire experience there. I couldn't recommend this resort enough. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit!
Macaneta H. Resort helped us organize the Best Team Building event!! Fantastic service in a Paradise. Definitely we're going there again as colleagues or with our friends and family. Thanks and see you soon
Beautiful place to spent time with friends and family. Had a very nice time on the beach soaking up the sun and frolicking in the ocean before we headed to the restaurant for lunch. The service was friendly and the food was scrumptious. They have a kiddies pool for the kids to enjoy overlooking the ocean but close enough to the restaurant for parents to keep an eye on their kids. The waiters are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restroom though could use an upgrade. Other than that, the place is worth a visit.
I had an absolutely amazing time at the resort. I particularly love its location by the sea. You can literally hear the ocean roaring beautifully at night. The host was friendly and welcoming, can vividly remember him waiting for us to arrive that evening. I must definitely revisit this penensula resort in the near future.
We had a very nice, Relaxed and fun stay at Macaneta. The hospitality is tops. Yash made sure we had all we wanted........ The view..... Quietness......one they should consider is to also have self catering for two sleepers. Would go back again.
If you are looking for the true essence of being in a quiet setting, away from the madding crowd, with the power of mother nature on your doorstep, then this is the place for you. If you appreciate life's struggle and what it takes to maintain a lodge on the beach and the work that goes into fighting the elements everyday, then you will love the simplicity of this home away from home. Your hosts are down to earth, where nothing is too much trouble, will go the extra mile with humility and gratitude and if you find your soul reaches out, then you will find namaste within yourself and this family business. If you want the sophisticated, silver spoon of modern society, you will not be happy here. But if you are down to earth, appreciate a family making an honest living with staff that know you are their bread and butter, then you will find the sweetest place with the BEST LOCATION ON MACANETA! THERE IS NO CLOSER GETTING TO THE BEACH WITH THE INCOMATI RIVER BEHIND YOU. Best value for money and definitely the best location.…
Mind Blowing place. Excellent Food. Good Service. Great Ambience. All our 50 + staff who came along had a super entertaining time & thoroughly enjoyed the trip very much. FOOD, DRINK & ENTERTAINMENT all were SUPERB!!!
Low key, sort of budget friendly and awesome view of the Indian Ocean. The chalet's are comfortable with airconditioning, cable TV, hot water, and located right on the beach. A quiet place to hang out.
Unfortunately we caught heavy traffic on a Friday afternoon coming in so our arrival was late. Just after the bridge crossing there is a toll gate where you need to pay R50 (you need to pay going in and coming out, bear it in mind). The staff were very courteous (although we could not get hold of anyone on any of the contact numbers). Fortunately we got some residents who knew where the staff were staying and called them in. The staff were quite willing to open the kitchen for us and cook, we settled on some drinks after the long trip though. The accommodation is not new so don't expect modern finishes. It is also quite a walk from the parking area to the accommodation. The kitchen in the self catering unit was sparsely equipped (luckily we brought some utensils along). The fridge was not switched on when we arrived, although it was cold by the following morning. If you are planning to stay a while and bringing a week's meat or fish rather bring it in frozen just in case. Although not the greatest accommodation the location is great. A massive stretch of beach (about five kilometers to the point) an there were very very few people in the time we were there. Fishing boats depart from the beach in front of the beach huts so you can get in on the day's catch. Braai facilities were made available for us by special arrangement. Thanks for the eagerness to assist! What to look out for: have a copy of your booking available preferably with a rate confirmed in ZAR / Mets (our rate was charged in USD and we had a long negotiation about what the applicable USD / ZAR / Met exchange rate was, eventually settling about three thousand mets lower than the starting price after the owner was contacted on the phone. The prices for food also did not match the prices on the menu, and we were charged for items which would normally be free (like butter)…
