The best part of this hotel was the restaurant. The food was amazing. Best I had on my entire trip. I wasn't hesitant on ordering the Zebu carpaccio. I am glad I did. It was just as good or better than anything I could order at a high end steakhouse in North America. The noodle soup was excellent and full of flavor. The shrimp was fresh and delicious. I would rate the restaurant six stars alone.
The hotel room was nice. It was clean, fresh and modern. Excellent view of the city on the sixth floor. The room was quiet. Each room had it's own wifi signal/password so the wifi was excellent. The price was decent. The staff spoke excellent english throughout. The only drawback of this hotel which prevents me from giving it five stars was the air conditioning. The room was a bit warm for the two days i stayed there. No matter how low I turned the thermostat it was still warm in the room. Not sweltering, but a bit uncomfortable.
However I would definitely stay here again if I was in Tana.

I have stayed at this Ibis 3 times and I can definitely say it's predictable and well maintained which isn't always the case for hotels in Madagascar. No, it's not the greatest hotel in the city. But I think the restaurant is great, the staff is attentive and reliable, the location is quite good and, again, it is very well maintained.

Great value for money. Convenient location. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Breakfast is excellent with a good variety including vegetarian dishes. The head chef Christoph is a delight and strives hard to take care of the preferences of guests. He cooked some delicious vegetarian food. Highly recommend this place.

3 day business trip. Room is decent, very clean, and up to standard. Front desk staff are incredible and very accommodating.

I cannot say the same about the hotel restaurant (Amy’s Spot). Has to be the worse service ever experienced (manly their staff) for both breakfast and dinner. 2/3 nights I ate dinner, I was the only person and it took 20min for bottle of water with ice. I physically had to walk and find a waiter to request my order (all 3 times) and 2/3 times they got it wrong. The second evening the waiter even mentioned they just did take my order and to reorder. Nightmare. The attitude of the waiters and waitresses are not the best. No apologies or anything. It’s unfortunate given the food is half way decent.

Looking forward to The Novotel when it reopens for my next business trip.

We spent our mandatory quarantine and later, much of our stay at the Ibis. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The highlights, however, are the fantastic restaurant, patio and most importantly, the staff.
The whole team at the Ibis was fantastic. The servers at the restaurant are the best. They are personable and willing to help whenever they can.
Excellent hotel!

Several months before I stayed there I requested a quiet room, no spraying in the room, and American style bed. Also, I asked the Asst. Front Desk Mgr. to tell me in writing what it cost for the hotel room including taxes, breakfasts, and roundtrip transfers in order for me to pay upfront at check-in, and determine how many Euros that I would have left for other meals, tours, and souvenirs. Well, my room smelled like it was sprayed, it didn't have a American-style bed, and I had to train the housekeeping supervisor on how to make one. During my stay in my so called quiet room I heard barking dogs every night, the internet didn't work most of the time in my room nor the lobby, and no one was interested in resolving my concerns.
I received a 15 minute satsfaction guarantee brochure in my room which stated that if your problem is not resolvedin 15 mins. , I will be their guest, and receive a refund.
When I checked out I was asked for additional money as the Asst. Front desk Mgr. didn't itemize it when I paid at check-in so at check out the clerk didn't think that I paid for the transfer.
I filled out a customer satisfaction survey, and contacted Accor Customer Relations but, all they did was apologize refund is not forthcoming. I will never stay another of their properties as they don't honor their customer guarantee.
The hotel is only 2 years old why wasn't it made soundproof?

Bad food, tiny rooms.. the breakfast and dinner is the same food everyday.. what it defines as buffet is comical. the hotel should fire the chief chef, if the chief chef is the hotel owner he should sell this business to a better chef. the most terrible food in any hotel around the world. Smartly dressed employees who have become immune to the questions of food quality and variety! Stayed here for 2 days, moved to Hotel Colbert for the next 30 days of my stay in Madagascar.
There is no gym at this hotel, they have swimming pool though close to the restaurant..when on the lift do not press 7, 8 or 9, this is a 6 storey building but the elevator numbers seem to have been created in anticipation of an expansion program

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are very small and the food at the restaurant is terrible. I was served raw pork and when I asked to see the cook to I was told the cook was not in and they had one of the waiters cooking. I was also advised by our waiter that I should have had the “buffet” instead of ordering from the menu. The buffet consisted of a bunch of vegetables and pasta dishes prepared God only knows when. On my last night I had a smell of burnt food in my room on the 6th floor. The smoke originated from a guest cooking in his room. When I complained the receptionist said “It’s Ok, the fire alarm is off and there will be no alarm problem.” When I requested to see the manager they said he will be in later during the day. I will never stay at this place again. What a dump.

Hi! I stayed in the hotel on September '16 and it accepts debit cards. However, the currency of the country is not euros... It is the Ariary Malgache, which you can exchange at Antananarivo's airport. The hotel has an additional laundry service, which you can pay separate. All rooms have shampoo and body wash included. I hope it helps!

Dear Catey, We don't do transportation outside Airport-hotel-Airport but we can recommend a driver we work with and we know he's very reliable. When you arrive, we can arrange that for you. Looking forward to welcoming you. Best regards
