When I visited Maseru I stayed at Blue Crane hotel that is is managed by Makabi.

She is very nice, funny and she helped with our trip in Lesotho insofar we did no imagine to find snow and ice on the roads.

Our rooms were clean, smelt good and very warm thanks the heatings and the electric blankets. Moreover the sleep quality was excellent and also the WI FI was fast.

Unfortunately in the evening when we arrived at the hotel, we could not take a shower insofar there was not water.
Luckly Makabi called a plumber at 9 pm and she fixed everything.
Furthermore, we had a breakfast in the morning and it was very good with several dishes.

To sum up, the staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay there!

Blue Crane B&B is off the path a little. Away from the city center of Maseru. At 450L ($32 USD) this place is pricey, not my cup of tea but there were no hostels in the area.

The family house is very secure with a metal guard gate by buzzer and it's like 8 beds and the family lives there. The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable, but when I got in the wifi was not working and the hot water only ran for 2 minutes then it shut off. Not a good start.

I explained to the girl and she assured me by the time I got back from my your it would be fixed. The wifi was fixed but weak in room 2 upstairs. It's good downstairs. The shower was hot and shut off and came back on.

So the problems that I encountered were fixed so I give credit and the fact they recognized it. Very friendly staff and will set you up with Tom for transport or tours.

She cooked me a nice breakfast sandwich for an early flight out, so all in all a very nice place to stay if it's in your budget.

Blue Crane hotel was such an amazing stay! The hosts were very warm and welcoming. Our rooms were clean, smelt good and most importantly in Lesotho, super warm!! They had electric blankets which was a big 👍🎉🎊.

We had complimentary breakfast which was just scrumptious. If you will be going to Lesotho Maseru, Blue Crane is the place to stay!!!

Terrible poor and cold rooms. To spend there a night at winter time its a big challange. There is 1 small heater and electric bed cover but it doesnt help. Cold as hell and the bathroom appears like survival on Siberia. Breakfast eatible, car palce safety and friendly owner. Sorry never be back there.

After spending a reasonably considerable time in Lesotho and staying at various places (some good and some not) I finally found Blue Crane. I wish I'd found it earlier! This is by far the best guest house in Maseru and offers great value. The location is quiet and peaceful, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and the owner goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The Blue Crane is good for both short and long stays. I highly recommend it to others.

Stayed over Christmas 2016, December 16th to 30th. Makabi the owner, and her family are so welcoming.
Felt like home from home. Makabi, the lady owner was on hand to make you feel part of family and make you comfortable. Her staff are always cheerful and smiling. House is kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast is cooked to order, and delicious. Parking is secure in gated grounds.

The Blue Crane B&B is a few km out of Maseru and Qhoali Street didn't show up on my GPS, only Qhoalinyane Street which the road it runs into. A little confusing but betweeen Google maps, my Garmin and a process of elimination I found my way there.

I received a very warm and friendly welcome in my arrival and was shown to my room quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and functional without any bells and whistles. No air conditioning though, which could become uncomfortable in the height of summer. There was a small fan available but it was rather noisy.

I was attended to quickly at breakfast, but the waitrons forgot to bring certain items like butter for my toast and a bowl for cereal. This minor gripe aside , the food was fine and after some very helpful advise about routes back to South Africa from the manager, I was in my way.

The only real downside of the visit for me was the internet connection which was poor and for a business trip this caused me some problems. The manager added a portable router in my room but it made little difference. If I was traveling on business again, I would not return there for this reason alone. If you don't need wifi and just a decent a fairly cheap place to stay, not too far from the city centre, then the Blue Crane is fine.

Stayed 2 nights at 495 LSL per night. Airport pick up for LSL 150. Located in a residential area. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Breakfast included - cooked to order and tasty and filling. Kettle and mini fridge in room. Hot water. Comfortable bed. Wifi worked well at all times. Taxi for LSL 50 into Main Street - maybe a 10 minute drive. Sitting areas downstairs. Would be suitable for a longer term stay. Maseru Mall a good option for dinner. You will need your own transport or take a taxi but location not overly relevant when you consider there is a not a lot happening in town itself. No complaints.
