My family and l made a trip to Ghana and decided to stay at Fiesta Royale hotel in Accra which was not far from the main airport about 7minutes to 10minutes drive from the Accra airport.
We stayed from the 12th of August and checked out the 14th of August. On arriving at the reception desk the receptionist Antoinette welcomed us warmly with a smile ;and after checking my details offered us the keys and Wi-Fi code to the room. She passed us on the Guest relation manageress Rita who showed us the facilities of the hotel and showed us how the electric gadgets works in the room for which we are grateful to her.
The next morning we have breakfast which was a combination of Continental and African dishes so one has a choice to make. Our waitress Leticia and Gloria were very friendly and always beaming with smiles.
Also the breakfast chef was very pleasant he prepared a nice omelette for me; and gosh the chalets were very spacious we we REALLY had a good sleep at night ;and enjoyed the pool with my daughter.
Lastly, but not the lest one staff who also made our stay enjoyable was Cassandra (Cass) for short. Anytime l called about an issue in the room she promptly called in the maintenance personnel to response and thank for that.
Lastly l have worked in the hospitality industry for over two decades close to three decades so l know good hospitality when one is offered as l have worked in UK, AMERICA(New Hampshire) and Africa . Once again thanks for having us in your hotel we will be back again.

Fabulous room, one of the best I’ve stayed in. A walk in huge rain shower in a modern tiled bathroom with separate WC. Huge bed with the best pillows. A lounge area with comfortable couch and seats. Huge room with TV, air conditioning, fridge, safe. Clean and carpeted. Modern lighting. Fantastic.

Breakfast was ok, choice of bakery items, freshly made omelettes, salad, fruits, porridge and hot cooked breakfast.

Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice, albeit quite overlooked by the rooms.

Location excellent, close to airport (free airport shuttle was provided), close to Accra Mall and walking distance to Djorwulu area with many shops and restaurants.

Overall it would have been 5 star but it felt very much like a business hotel, with lots of business people and conferences. For us as a couple it felt less of a holiday destination. But a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

Probably the best place I have stayed at in Accra. The staff are very patient and always ready to provide service. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are super comfy. I like that the restaurant has an option for outdoor sitting with a good variety of food and drinks.

I can't fully understand the other positive reviews.
Due to events in Accra, the hotels were fully booked at the time I was there; I had previously stayed at another hotel.
The room rate was a whopping $190/night, but you would expect something different.
Positive: nice, large and clean rooms, nice bathroom/shower, 2 free bottles of water daily, room service was really good. Close to the airport.
Negative:
Service generally poor and inattentive (restaurant, bar with one exception). Example: Every time I ordered, I said I didn't want ice cream, but the glass always came with ice cream. By the way, the bar and restaurant close at 10 p.m.
For a la card meals you were directed to the bar; the restaurant was apparently only intended for guests who wanted the more expensive buffet. Some of the food was served lukewarm. No leadership / no head waiter visible.
Very bad WiFi, there was a second guest network visible, but you couldn't get access to it even when you asked.
The pool was quickly closed to “normal” guests for 3 days or was reserved for conference participants (“private event”).
The public toilets (lobby) were not cleaned regularly.
My colleague had also booked 5 days, after 3 days he was told that he had only booked 3 days and that they no longer had a room for him (luckily he had the original booking). Etc.

I don’t recommend this hotel per my experience. During my second day, I encountered ants in my bed, realizing I slept with them unknowingly for a night during our group vacation booked by Regina of Maximum Impact. Despite notifying Regina and the staff, my request for a 25% refund was met with indifference. The manager, a Caucasian lady with short dark hair and glasses, dismissed my concerns, stating moving me to another room was sufficient compensation, insisting that "it's just ants." A disappointing response for a first-time visitor to Ghana. Shared videos, but no resolution. Consider this a fair warning. People need to know that Maximum Impact & Management agree to 1st time guest sleeping with ants 🐜 shameful… I have videos upon request.

Dear Ms. Wiggins, We trust that you are doing well - Thank you for taking the time provide us with the review. As per our discussion - I am in contact with Maximum Impact at the moment to discuss the requested discount. Upon our meeting at the Front Desk I stated that I was aware of your concern and I am aware that your room was moved following the complaint - I did not state that moving the room was sufficient compensation and advised that I would be in contact with Maximum Impact to discuss the concern. Thank you again for the feedback. Regards, Maritza de Villiers General Manager

Really great hotel, quiet and friendly staff with a lovely garden and pool. The gym wasn't operational, but the staff reassured me that new equipment was on order and it would be open soon. I asked about recycling of the many plastic water bottles used, and had a speedy and personalised reply from the staff reassuring me that they recycle all the bottles and are considering solar panels... great to hear!

Lively garden and a great pool.
You can swim lengths in the pool and there is a small gym with everything you need. The staff are very welcoming and there is a fantastic barrista with an artistic flare. The hotel is an 15 min drive to the university, and not too far from town. Good restaurants nearby too.

If you eat at the hotel bar you will probably pay around 40-50 Cedi/person. In the hotel restaurant it is ~90 Cedi/person. Going out will probably be around 40-50 Cedi/person in most reasonable restaurants.

Dear Penelope, Thank you for contacting us. We would be able to take care of your special needs. You also do not need to come along with your milk as our Chef has confirmed we could serve you with soy or almond milk. Would you like me to make a reservation for you? Warm regards, Rita Abigail Tano

There are no attractions near the hotel. However in Accra, you do have the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Museum, Botanical Gardens, Castle, National Museum, Cultural Markets and modern shopping malls. There are also a number of beaches. Most of these attractions are 30-45mins from the hotel, depending traffic. For more info check out Accra Attractions on Tripadvisor. Hope this helps you out.
