We originally booked for just our first night in Addis, but returned for a further 3 nights our travels as the welcome and help we were given on first arrival was second to none. Without exception the staff are friendly and keen to help in whatever way they can. The rooms are

We stayed for four days. Great service, friendly staff, best breakfast in our three weeks in Ethiopia and good dinners as well - both Ethiopian and western food. Wonderful hot water and good WiFi. A real hotel with a family feel. What happened to me will always make this hotel

This hotel is top knotch. The staff and manager are extremely accomodating, welcoming, and friendly. They made my stay so much better, and I’m grateful for that. The hotel itself is clean and efficient. The breakfast is delicious! Definitely recommend staying here.

We felt as if we found a gem in Addis; we actually cut our trip north short just to spend a few more days here. And when we returned, the manager, Girum, greeted us with such warmth, that it really felt as if we'd returned home. It's not luxe or spa or frills; instead the rooms

I never had any noise issues when I was there. There are no big thumpin' discos, the hotel is set back a little from the next nearest thoroughfare. I think one time I heard some kids playing nearby so maybe there is a school in the neighborhood, but by no means was the noise disturbing or intrusive or objectionable. It's a good, clean, friendly, reasonably-priced hotel.

The hotel is not in a very nice neighborhood so to speak but in a more historic location. There are plenty of local bars and restaurants. I use the hotel as a base to do what I need to do in Addis and the service is excellent (by Addis standards) that is why this hotel attracts very good reviews. You can go to the museum to view Lucy or go to the orthodox church to see king Haile Sellaise's tom or go to Addis University to See what used to be the king's palace and get an opportunity to experience his bedroom. I am not sure what else you can do at the hotel rather than to sip coffee and laze around.

"The rooms in the back of the hotel (even numbers) might be quieter. Room 307 is big with a balcony facing the city without too much noise."
"Both rooms were quiet at night. No problems at all with noise."
"Great base to explore old Addis and beyond"
"Have heard that rooms on the facing the school tend to be noisier. My room faced the parking area, and I had no issues with noise."
"Best to ask for a room on the side of the hotel facing away from the school if you are a very light sleeper"
