My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving at 1PM with a rental car and parking in front. A receptionist copied my passport, researched our reservation and made the card payment(without asking, it was processed by Absa Bank in USD, giving a 12.66/$ vs 13.1/$ received at the Shell station next door).
Room #113 was spacious with a fully outfitted bathroom with both a tub and shower stall, then a comfortable queen across a coffee stand(unworkable safe), nice satellite TV with a guide(Al Jazeera, BBC, Sky, 2 movies, Nt. Geo, 5 sports and 4 more channels), desk (refer below) with chair and an easy chair. Nice hot water, good secure WIFI and a quiet room with a large window view of banana palms and weaver nests in the trees.
The 6:30AM breakfast buffet in the lobby overlooking the small pool was excellent; OJ, fruits, yogurt, muesli, breads, cheese, made to order eggs, many hot meats, beans, mushrooms, muffins and regular coffee
This 84 room hotel is ideally located on the east side of Gaborone, 500m walk from the Riverwalk Mall.

One of the better lodges to stay in when visiting Gaborone. Priced well with good service and good food. The menue consists mainly of lighter meals but is by now means small in portion. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Defintely a place to stay over on every business visit.

On arrival at the spanking new Gaborone Indaba Lodge I was immediately impressed with the clean, modern architecture and finishes and my check-in for my three night stay was quick and efficient. Only after unpacking did I discover that the airconditioning wasn't functioning but a quick call to the front desk had a maintenance man at my door in under two minutes. Impressive! He quickly declared the AC as inoperable and within minutes he had arranged an alternative room across the hall. He even helped me to repack and to move my kit to the new room. Even more impressive!

The rooms are quite large and well appointed with more than enough working space and I specially noted that the desk-top electrical service panel boasts the British/Botswana flat 3 pin plug as well as the round pin South African plug as well as the flat two pin European plug. A large plasma TV, tea and coffee station, security safe and both a bath and a shower complete what is a really well laid out and well provisioned room for a business or recreational traveler.

However, I was not particularly impressed with the hotel restaurant. For breakfast, a moderately comprehensive breakfast buffet is laid out with an 'eggs to order' station. The waiter Servuice at breakfast was on three consecutive mornings, slow and sloppy, to say the least. At 130 Pula (About 170 South African Rands or 13 US $) my feeling is that it's a bit expensive for what's on offer. There's definitely a need for a good deal more training and management supervision. But to give them a break, the hotel is brand new and no doubt still finding it's feet.

Overall, in my opinion the Indaba Lodge, Gaborone represents reasonable value and the genuinely friendly staff certainly make up for the shortcomings.

I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Gaborone.

Indaba Hotel is a clean hotel with easy access to a filling station and river walks mall. The food is on point and the Staff are the most friendliest I've seen in my traveling life. They took upon themselves to know clients by names and feels good to be called by your name when approaching the front desk. It little things like these and details that I will remember and recommend Indaba to everyone I know coming to Gabs

Good place as the hotel enable access to all town corners. the rooms are very clean and nice that now papa and seswaa are served. The hotel should consider giving the shuttle to residents as a courtesy.

I have stayed at similar value hotels in gaborone including the Metcourt and Townlodge but Indaba tops my list. This hotel has a great location and is just a stones throw from Riverwalk mall where the shopping and dining options are endless. The staff is so friendly and has remembered me even when I return to visit. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast for P120, and has good food for lunches and dinner. The whole hotel is very clean and stylish. Compared to other value hotels in Gabs, indaba is very roomy and has large bedrooms, desk space, chairs, and bathrooms. The TVs are very new and large, and the room is filled with lots of extra toiletries and amenities. The water pressure is very strong and the parking lot is very secure. I would recommend this hotel as the top value hotel in gaborone, an accessible and attractive new option in the capital.
