We booked into the Kgale View Lodge to attend a conference nearby.
Overall the outside of the Lodge is neat and well cared for. Our room was large with good decor.
Check in was efficient even though it was a manual process. We were also told before arrival that we could only pay cash, and not use any credit cards to pay for accomodation, so it would pay to ensure you have sufficient local currency to pay for your accomodation.
My only gripe was that even though my wife and I had booked in, our room was only supplied with sufficient towelling for 1 person. This was rectified as soon as we reported it to reception.
Breakfast was tasty, but portions were small.

I would recommend this Lodge overnight accomodation on your way to other locations in Botswana, and would be a viable option if you want to avoid the bigger hotels, and want a bit of privacy

My colleague and I stayed at Kgale View Lodge for a weekend break from a business trip. We had an absolutly grand time in Gabs and I would definitely recommend this place to budget travelers. It is everything you could need. Fully air-conditioned to escape the heat. Great showers and light and bright decor. The rooms have much more space than usual for a double room at this price and considering how expensive Gabs is for accommodation, this is a gem.
Breakfast was average offering both cold and hot options.
Rooms were lovely and clean and beds super comfy.
The location right off the highway was convenient for us because in Gabs you drive pretty much everywhere. There is also a big mall across the road which has a couple of good restaurants and grocery stores and things.
There is another property in the same road belonging to this lodge and they have a swimming pool for all visitors. Fantastic for what it cost.

Stayed for one night in Kgale in Gaborone. The room was good and clean, and the bathroom was quite big. Breakfast was okay, but could have been a bit more extensive.
All in all, I think this is a good place if you’re searching for an accommodation in Gaborone and does not want to be in a large hotel which is more expensive.

I would not recommend this place, and mainly because of the extremely rude and inconsiderate staff. We had planned to stay at the Kgale Lodge for 2 weeks. However, upon arriving, we were told that they had booked our rooms to a large tour group for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th nights and we would have to find someplace else to stay. I had just confirmed the reservation the week before, and the staff was entirely unapologetic about it. Fortunately, we were so ready to get out of there by the 3rd night it didn't matter. The location is convenient to the Kgale View Mall and its grocery store, and the facility is pretty nice. They have two buildings on both sides of the street, and we stayed on the side opposite the main building/office. We were told that we had access to a kitchen, but the kitchen in this building had no plates, no silverware, was dirty, and they clearly were not happy about us using it. They had to give us a key to acces it, which actually disappeared from our room one day. The breakfast was bad. There is a security guard who sits outside the building and whose demeanor made us actually feel less safe - nevermind the fact that he was almost always sleeping.

This place is extremely poorly managed and unfriendly, and our stay once we relocated closer to the city (to the Liya Guest Lodge) was remarkably better. The only thing we missed was the Kgale View Lodge proximity to the Mug & Bean cafe in the mall which had free wireless internet and bottomless coffee. That's right - buy a coffee and a muffin and you are good to go!

I would agree with WorldTravelerTodd, it is a bit awkwardly converted house and I did not like it being split in two on either side of the road. It is in a nice residential neighborhood, the price is reasonable. It is very close (within walking distance) to the Game City Mall, so shopping and eating out is easy. The property has electric fencing and remote gate and seemed pretty secure. There is a nightwatch who lives on the premises. The room was neat and clean. I did not have time to go for breakfast. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for about a week while in town for work. I found the place to be comfortable and very clean. There is a basic but filling breakfast served every morning. It set me up well for the day. Wifi worked well for me while I was there.

Very close to Game city mall, which has some useful stores and a couple of supermarkets.

I met the owner on my last day there, nice guy. His staff were good, not overly chatty, but they were helpful with enquiries.

Would I stay there again? Yes.

We love this little gem! It's so prettty and tucked in a great location near Game city mall. You can walk (but not alone after dark) to the mall. It's clean, friendly and comes with a nice traditional breakfast. Request a room on the checkin side-- they feel very traditional. Walk over to the mall for your second cup of coffee - at Cafe Digo, or Mug and Bean.

This place has nice rooms that are clean. It's within walking distance from Game City - there are restaurants, stores, and a movie theater. Wi-Fi often doesn't work or is too weak to work well. Overall, this place is fine.

The location of the guesthouse is very good and close to the shopping center. The guesthouse itself is way below average, breakfast is from a poor level, rooms are small but clean, internet is terrible and the pool extremely dirty. There are much better options in Gaborone to stay.

the place was quite likeable , convenient and good value for money, situated within a walking distance from the Game mall. The rooms were clean, large and had air con. The staff that I found was really good , and the welcome so good. To me the place is awesome, there is a bonus of a swimming pool, nice trees and birds giving one free music.
