I like the colour of light colour of the bed and the floor . Breakfast was very nice. Staff are very kind. The room we had had ants and spiders. Bed is comfortable. We didn’t have a shower head, so we had to use the bathtub. Cupboards look old. We don’t like the toilet and the bathtub is separated by a wall. They said they are in the middle of upgrading it.

Its a complete mystery where all the positive reviews are coming from, as that is not remotely what we experienced here. The staff are genuinely good, but they have so little to work with. The building is in awful condition after decades of use with seemingly little upkeep. Our room had multiple floor to ceiling cracks in the walls, cracked windows, and a lot of ants in the bathroom. The shower was a disaster. Water pressure was barely a trickle, and within a few minutes tapered off to no water at all. The breakfast was mediocre at best, with moldy jars of jam, stale pre-toasted bread, and the greasiest british breakfast food i've ever encountered. Wifi was slow, and frequently died. The beds were ok, but rather squeaky. All of these problems might be tolerable if they weren't charging 3 star Western hotel prices for a 1 star developing country hotel. I would not stay here again.

This hotel is really decent, clean and the rooms are of a very substantial size. The reason I cannot give it 5 stars, is the inside of the covers were quite bluntly dilapidated and filthy. And the Wi-Fi did not work properly, and a swimming pool was closed something that I was not notified of in advance. The service was absolutely superb, the hotel was most disappointed that you did not want to eat breakfast, "as you have paid for it" and if you pay for something you should receive it ! Not quite the attitude you normally received. All in all this is really a great hotel, very pleasant grounds in a nice location. As others have mentioned, it is a bit out of town, and you cannot walk really anywhere. Which is disappointing, but taxis are cheap and cheerful and they will do everything to arrange and assist you.

We stayed here after two weeks on Safari to rest and relax. We could not have done better. The room was palatial, the bed huge and really comfortable. Breakfast served on cue and the service was fantastic. The spacious grounds and pool ideal for morning or afternoon down time. Aircon, wifi, shower and spa all first rate. Awesome place.

We were surprised by how far out of town it was, but it did not end up being a limiting factor, as the guesthouse has a relationship with a taxi service that we used to get around. This ended up being a blessing in disguise since there were pushy taxi drivers everywhere. We also walked into town, but the staff recommended staying away from the uninhabited areas when we went running, because elephants/wildlife are the danger here. :) We did not walk at night as recommended. They supplied cold water bottles and a hot breakfast (eggs and meat made to order). Michelle and Grace were both wonderful and truly made our stay very enjoyable!
