I would say perfection on all levels. The place itself is amazing, in the middle of a national park with wild animals walking around and the service is truly impeccable! African hospitality is something else. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay so memorable.

Adding to the 5 ⭐️ reviews. Everything was exquisite from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed- literally with a nice warm towel for our hands & face. Critical after a trip with a toddler. The food was amazing. While the rest of the world has stopped cleaning hotel rooms at S& L they did two cleanings or maybe the other was just evening service. Either way AMAZING. Babysitter was the best, it’s hard to get away from small children but we felt completely reassured that our little one was in good hands. They planned all activities. We were wanting for nothing. The staff was the best. I add that black families shouldn’t shy away from coming here. I know travel can be unkind but you won’t experience any of that here (I hope) we have been very happy, we plan to come back again and again.

Stanly and Livingstone is a fantastic luxurious property offering the best of African wildlife, with easy access to Victoria falls and allied activities. We stayed there for 2 nights in 2 interconnected rooms (family of 4 with kids aged 12 and 9). Rooms are very spacious either each overlooking the grazing grounds for zebras, nyalas, baboons, The staff is very courteous and can cater to dietary needs (we are vegetarians). They arrange drop offs to the town whenever needed and also arranged for sunset cruise, helicopter rides when we needed them. Thanks for a memorable stay.

This hotel is a gem. After a long journey from Europe of almost 24 hours we arrive in a haven of peace, serenity and elegance. The first Impression that dominates is the beauty of the decoration and layout of the common areas. We find all the codes of Victorian decoration: murals, comfortable armchairs and sofas, library, large spaces, high ceilings, and bay windows that open onto vast terraces and let admire the immense park where some giraffes, antelope, baboons and beautiful birds finish planting the decor. The Pension is located in a private reserve that offers game drives. The suite we occupy is very spacious: sitting area, outdoor terrace to admire the park, very large bedroom part , and a magnificent bathroom, with large shower and old bathtub. We had dinner and lunch at the Pension restaurant: excellent cuisine, impeccable presentation and extremely attentive and friendly service. The choice of wines will satisfy all lovers, and the waiters know them perfectly and are happy to make you discover it. The location is a few kilometers from the city and the falls, which guarantees the quiet. A stay of 2 nights, serene, relaxing and faultless.

Booking this property as compared to other properties in the Falls was the best decision we made! The hotel is even more stunning than it looks on the pictures and worth every penny it costs to stay there! From the pick up at the airport to the arrival and the warm welcome from Cebo ,Japhet , Richard and the front of house team- we felt right at home.
The room was stunning and Japhet our housekeeper was doing the Lord’s work let me tell you!You never actually saw him but my goodness the attention to detail in the room and housekeeping was top notch - not to mention the “little notes” he leaves on the board in the room.
The staff are all friendly without overstepping the bounds professional and courteous. Brutus our waiter deserves a special mention.Again that young man was doing the Lord’s work let me tell you! He also makes fantastic cocktails which were hard to beat anywhere else we went in the falls. His cocktails are the best.
Cebo and Tari and the front desk team always had a smile waiting for us everyday and never tired to make our stay even more comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights but believe me the time flew by and we even wanted to extend our stay.
The overall experience was magical. Fantastic hotel with excellent staff that will make you feel right at home in their little paradise! Will definitely come back.

I always try to stay in boutique hotels that provide a sense of place, so that you know you’re in a very specific location as different from home as possible, but also with many comforts of home. The Stanley & Livingston in Victoria Falls absolutely met or exceeded all my expectations.
Their staff was warm, attentive, professional, and utterly charming. The sleeping rooms and interior design throughout the property was eye catching, understated elegance, tasteful, comfortable and w/o pretense. And the food was delicious: plated beautifully, healthy, abundant, and paired with excellent wines from South Africa.
But two of the best things about my stay there were (a) the amusing parade of animals just below the lodge, including impala, zebra, baboons, and other wonderful creatures and (b) the exceptional service the front desk provided when booking excursions for me such as a visit to the elephant sanctuary and a trip to The Devil’s Pool.
I highly recommend staying at The Stanley & Livingston, as I did twice, for four nights in total. It will be the only place I’ll want to stay when I return to Vic Falls, as its scenic and quiet location out of town makes you feel like you’re already on safari while only moments away from one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Our three-day stay at the Stanley and Livingstone Hotel was a real highlight! The hotel setting in the beautiful gardens, overlooking its own private game park, is exceptional - a perfect location to sit and relax, while watching a variety of wildlife and the amazing birdlife. Our huge room was meticulously maintained and was probably the most memorable we have ever stayed in. Both the quality of the food and the service were excellent. Our stay marked a perfect end to our family reunion!

Don’t make the same mistake I did…I only reserved 1 night, thinking we would just fly in see the falls then leave the next morning. If I was not staying at Stanley and Livingston, that MIGHT have been okay, BUT, this hotel, this place is WONDERFUL. The grounds are flawless, the hotel design, so chic, yet understated. The room, huge, and the best part is a lovely “porch” in each room to look out over a lush grassland area (ahhhh, the view having your morning coffee), watching zebra and giraffe stroll by…and oh, there is a rambunctious group of monkeys frolicking in a large tree near by. If I had it to do over, I would have booked 2 nights and upon arrival we would have simply hung out at the hotel, enjoying the grounds, the porch or take a swim (gorgeous pool), head to the bar for cocktails, then a leisurely dinner…the following day, early visit to the falls (you have to go early because it gets too hot in the afternoon-which we found out the hard way), maybe lunch in town (ask the hotel for a recommendation) come back to the hotel for the afternoon (don’t forget the pool) then take a sunset boat cruise (the hotel can arrange), and have another nice dinner and head out in the morning. Thanks to Daisy and her team assisting with our needs and recognizing my birthday with a wonderful cake! Also to Nathan, great bartender! For breakfast, get the avocado toast with a side of scrambled eggs, you won’t be sorry.
