#8 of 23 hotels in Victoria Falls
Travellers' Choice
Voted the best Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe for 23 years running, the world-famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers easy access to the iconic Victoria Falls, coupled with a wildlife experience that is truly unrivalled. Now in its 25th year of welcoming guests, the Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park with endless unspoilt views to the horizon, just four kilometers from the Falls. This is the only sunset facing hotel in Victoria Falls, and the newly-renovated rooms and balconies are built up above a central waterhole which attracts herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, as well as night-time predators, such as lion and leopard. Our warm and personable staff are our greatest pride. Past guests frequently comment on our team's sublime hospitality and seamless delivery. The main areas of the lodge, such as the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and the homely Buffalo Bar, are rich in ambience and also overlook the central waterhole, where drinks and dinners are often shared with wildlife meandering down to the water each day to quench their thirst.

We traveled with a family of 7. Very very happy with the service and the lodge. Beautiful, comfortable. Everyone was helpful. The food was surprisingly delicious and reasonable. Don’t miss the spa. Very fair prices and good massage. We did the Victoria falls hike. We did the boma dinner (food isn’t great but good experience). And the gorge activities. Swing. Zip line. Flying fox. Highly recommend!

Hotel's Favourite
The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge certainly is a giant African tree house! The lodge is located on a hill which overlooks the Zambezi National Park. Everything about the lodge boasts "AFRICA". The main area in made up of the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant, the Buffalo Bar and the Vulture Deck. The area is open, with the only "walls" being the wooden pillars that hold up this "treehouse". The view from this area is one to behold! Guests look out onto a water hole which the wild animals come and drink from daily - you'll be mesmerized by the beauty of the bush and the wildlife. Each room has a King size bed and a private balcony with some looking out into the bush and others looking out onto the waterhole! Other rooms are the suites, which are double story and include a lounge area downstairs - perfect for a business trip! These rooms also overlook the waterhole. The MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant is a 5-star experience. Meals are absolutely delicious, and service is impeccable. Other dining options are The Buffalo Bar for a lighter meal or the Boma Dinner & Drum Show for an exciting, traditional and interactive African experience! A vulture culture experience is held daily in front of the vulture deck, where the hotels guide feeds the vultures and educates guests about the importance of these birds in the African ecosystem. A wild experience as the vultures swoop down all at once to take their share! The staff at the lodge are amazing! Everyone is incredibly cheerful and helpful.

We absolutely loved our short visit to this stunning hotel! Everything was so well maintained, professional staff and very yummy snacks of ribs and chips, jalapeño ball and beef samosas. We especially loved the jalapeño balls, not too hot and very tasty. The vuture feeding and talk was very interesting, and the guide was great at including the children. Our two younger children loved the pools. Looking forward to visiting, and hopefully staying soon!
