Pray your flight doesn't change for late checkout. I felt terrible like being chased from hotel even though we were paying for late checkout. My 1st experience since I started travelling 15 years ago. Never has it happened to any country, hotel I have ever stayed. This was my 1st stay at the hotel.
Clean and comfortable with good parking but a lot could be improved. Check in was inefficient with us being allocated the wrong type of room. When pointed out there was no apology. Food was very average. Bar good but too small for number of guests. Breakfast service was good. Room was okay but bathroom small and extractor fan not working. Well below normal Holiday Inn standards.
Had a very quick stay here. Room was nice, spacious, and a really lovely welcome platter with fruits, chips, juice, and biltong! Had dinner by the pool which was very nice as well. Location is good, very central to everything. They organised an airport pick up as well.
I came for one day to this hotel. The crew was very nice, always trying to assist, and especially with one problem I received huge help by Clive, the general manager of this hotel. Room was clean. Food is OK. Attitude amazing. Gym is nice. Pool is nice. Great business center. Highly recommend!
The view!! Oh my goodness!! The room was overlooking the pool and the city, with a really big window. It was the best. So many TV channels to choose from, unlike some places where they restrict the channels for you. It was amazing, the experience was great. I was only there for a night but it was the best. The breakfast - to die! So many options, I ate so much I was full the rest of the day, didn't eat anything else! Ow and while I was having breakfast, someone came to personally ask for my review and how my personal experience had been!
Booked totally last minute and checked in, all was perfect, clean room, great dinner and even better breakfast facilities. My only gripe would be I called to book and was told totally full, then less than a minute later I looked on line and surprised to see plenty of availability, meaning reception did not even look. However the place is the only place I would stay whilst in Harare.
Slept 1 night after a surprise birthday dinner with my husband. Regrettably the hotel did not meet my expectations of an IHG hotel. - no porter services given - small bathrooms -no face towels in bath rooms - boiling kettle in room stunk when I opened it & failed to use it + there was variety at breakfast
Stayed here for five nights on a business trip and suffice to say it was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful however they need more communal seating as the only place to sit is in the bar area - this is somewhat limited at busy times. The rooms are also well equipped (safe, ironing board etc.) so you have everything that you need. Some areas will probably need refurbishment in the coming years but the hotel provides value for money and is ideally located for all the local city amenities. I'd happily stay again.
The place to be if u want to be safe and sound with no hookers roaming around as one needs a room card to use the lifts going up. On the security front this is the best I have seen so far. The food is great especially the rapoko sadza and t bone.
I spent two nights at the Holiday Inn in Harare towards the backend of my trip in Zim. The hotel was very clean, rooms are modern and well maintained. I was a bit surprised with the customer service to be honest, the front end staff weren’t as welcoming as expected. But restaurant staff were fantastic. Big plus is the onsite taxi/shuttle service which compares to local rates. Location is very central to the CBD, however I wouldn’t recommend walking too far at night, lots of comments/remarks from locals that were rather offensive. If you’re into people watching, spend a night at the onsite bar and you won’t be disappointed.
