I’m a British engineer and stay in hotels all the time worldwide. This place is “cool” with excellent management and staff with a huge sense of humour which during these nasty lockdown times really cheers up ones day. Their “ honesty bar” is well stocked with great SA wine, local and international beer. Breakfast can be healthy or you can get a super full English with poached eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast , marmalade to help ones diet along haha. The chefs do some excellent home cooked food for evening meals if requested. Steaks, fish, oxtails ( that’s a cracking dish ) or more lighter cuisine and salads. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and great for courting couples, small business meetings and they have a private party room where you can let your hair down on special occasions. It was winter during my 5 week stay and 8 C at night - rooms have aircon and the lounge areas have open hearth fires to keep your tootsies warm. Room maids are efficient and rooms immaculately cleaned. They pay attention and know when you are in or out. No knocks on the door just as your dipping your toes into the bath or taking a shower. Compared to my usual 4 star ish city hotels I stay in I preferred this. You can hear a pin drop at night and get truly great comfortable accommodation. There’s a small supermarket nearby and some restaurants and if you get really stuck without transport they’ll run you down to the shop or bank. Marvellous. Cheers to all of you running the place. A credit to the hospitality industry !!! Andy S

Ballantyne Lodge is exceptional. The service is friendly and yet professional. The food is excellent and filling. The accommodation is comfy and tasteful. There is a gym, swimming pool, and extensive garden. It is centrally placed and easily accessible for stakeholders from all sectors of the economy - a good meeting place. The one thing I must stress about Ballantyne Lodge is that the management goes out of its way to generate a sustainable relationship with the client. If you are a professional, you will know that having this support is vital to our operations. I cannot recommend this lodge more.

Shirley, Kirst and Dean our hosts where amazing. The atmosphere in the lodge is to be experienced - home from home and spacious. The food 5star. The rooms stunning and homely. Lovely beautiful garden and amenities. Trust bar and amazing lounge all contributed to an unforgettable experience. We have demanded from our clients to only stay there in future. Great place to work from and the warmth of our hosts and staff always willing to go the extra mile, was out of this world. Anton Scheepers (MD Agricultural & Industrial Marketing cc)
