Fantastic guiding, extremely caring staff, great food, superb location and 2nd to none sightings in absolute loneliness as other camps cannot reach that location. This camp is phenomenal and we have already been 10+ safaris!

When returning somewhere that you have had a great trip, there must be a risk of disappointment that the return trip will not match up to the first. I need not have been the slightest bit concerned about my return trip to Namiri Plains. My first review (Nov 15) was titled “my new favourite place in the world”. The second...

We stayed in Namiri for two days , just as quick trip from our holiday on Zanzibar . Despite of that we stayed on Zanzibar for the whole two weeks - Namiri was the most memorable experience from our whole holiday . The camp is situated on beautiful plains of Serengeti where you can watch the animals right from tent...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Namiri. Our guides, George and Shomari, were amazing. They were so knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. We really enjoyed getting to know them -- we felt like they were our sons by the time we left. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel so welcome...

Our experience at Namiri Plains was a great one. At this camp, they do group game drives, so we were paired with another couple to go out and see game. We did see a lot - and we were in a relatively quiet part of the park, so we didn't encounter many other vehicles there. We had some wonderful opportunities...

After spending our first 2 nights at Kimondo we arrived at Namiri Plains and was blown away! The camp is very luxurious with breathtaking views over the Plains (which you can also enjoy from your own private outdoor shower)! We chose Namiri Plains for its famous big cats and it certainly did not disappoint. During our 3 night stay we...

This camp is very special, a superb setting with the tents overlooking an incline frequented by wildlife from elephants to lions. The tents are large, with lots of room. During our visit in February even though the days were very hot the tents were cool and comfortable for resting. The beds are large and comfortable and the shower was hot...

This was our third camp in the bushes, and 5th over all, in our African getaway. Three of them were from Asilia and they were all of very high standard, with great facility ,great food, great guide etc...What set this Camp apart is the staff. Don't get me wrong . All the staff at all the Asilia camp were great...

As part of our two week Safari we had the luck to snag reservations at this fabulous tented camp. There are no other tented or even other camp sites as far as the eye can see and it is set in a small tree forest that is shared with ions, water buffalo, cheetahs, zebras as well as many varieties of birds...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For 20 years, the grasslands of the Eastern Serengeti were closed to tourists to allow the cheetah population to replenish itself. Today, this is big-cat territory, where cheetah roam the area in pursuit of prey, and lion and leopard hunt undisturbed. In 2014, the region reopened with Asilia appointed as its custodian. Guests can enjoy this incredible corner of the Serengeti from the comfort of cool and elegant Namiri Plains. Expansive views, serious comfort, exceptional privacy and unrivalled sightings of apex predators in a region of the Serengeti come together to give you an exclusive and action-packed safari experience. ... more   less
