Travellers' Choice
Internationally renowned for the greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet, The Serengeti National Park located in north west Tanzania is the ultimate ‘wildlife show’ on earth. Across the globe authors and filmmakers have come to document the Annual Migration of hundreds of thousands of animals, but there is still only one way to understand and experience the true magnificence of this natural phenomena and that is to be part of it. Serengeti Migration Camp is the embodiment of the ‘camp’ experience. Located next to the famous Grumeti River which is home to resident hippos that bark and wallow their days away, Serengeti Migration Camp has become synonymous with low-impact high-action game viewing in a landscape that is untouched since the dawn of time.

We flew to this camp, were met by Abdul and Joseph, and had our first game drive on the way from the airstrip to the camp. Along the way saw a wonderful family of lions - 6 lionesses and over 20 lion cubs, and nearby the two brothers who head this lion pride. Many other animals seen on this and the next game drives. This was the time of the movement of the wilde beast herds and we saw many groupings. This camp is within the national park and so animals wander through the camp at night. We needed to be escorted to and from the dining room just in case. Hippos wandered through. In the distance a lioness roared during two of our nights. We also did a very informative game walk with a local guide and armed ranger where we saw many hippos in the river and water buffalo in the nearby hills.

Dear Paula As you know, not everyone gets to see 26 lions within the first few minutes of arriving in the Serengeti! It was a real pleasure hosting you, and as you've described, luck was really on your side with the number of animal sightings you had. Do come again soon. Warm regards The Elewana Collection

Property's Favourite Review
We stayed here for a couple of days and fell in love with the place and people. We had a warm welcome from the manager and staff which, after a long drive, was much appreciated. Very nice location built into a hill side and views over the river and countryside around with super sunsets. The whole site is high quality. The tent we had was lovely, bags of space and views from the balcony. Animals come in the Camp, especially hippo and we heard lions one night, and indeed they do live in the rocks just at the back of the camp but are no bother. Food was very good - we took away a recipe for a super soup we have one evening and are yet to get it to the excellent quality we had at the Camp. The last evening we ate outdoors close to the river - unforgettable experience. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Simon, the manager, was delightful and runs a top quality Camp. Lots of game just outside the Camp and in Migration time you evidently are surrounded by migrating animals Loved it and would recommend strongly

Welcoming staff with cool towels and drinks is a great way to be greeted when you come back from a game drive. I loved it and the wonderful treatment continued with breakfasts out in the bush and dinners by firelight serenaded by the night sounds of the Serengeti. Magical and very special. Simon and the staff treated us like royalty and Hamisi our guide was excellent with his knowledge and exceptional eyesight (he spotted a leopard up a tree while dodging potholes and keeping our vehicle on the track). The location of Migration Camp is beautiful and I will never forget my stay there. Thank you Simon and all the staff.

We stayed 2 nights in September. From the moment we arrived to pulling out enroute to another location, staff and management went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional. That it was. The location is in the Lobo Valley nestled amongst raw nature. The tents provide comfort and luxury while maintaining the serenity and peacefulness the serengheti offers. My absolutely favorite place we stayed throughout our safari experience. You must include Migration Tented Camp while planning you're itinery. Shout our to Rashadi for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

The Serengeti is magical. Endless plains and abundant animals. Our guide Moises was excellent as he always went out of his way to make sure we were having a good time. We saw many amazing animals but he also took the time to educate us about the animals and the Serengeti. We were lucky to witness the migration of the wildebeest which was unexpected and the highlight of our three weeks in Africa. The camp is in a great location overlooking a waterhole with plenty of animals in the camp including buffalo, hippos, and even a leopard and therefore they provide escorts to and from your tent. The tents are very comfortable and well appointed. The service is special and the food is good. It is a joy to have a welcoming committee every time you return to camp. In addition, they did a wonderful job of complying with my wife's dietary restrictions. We highly recommend this camp.

It is so incredible to read such a wonderful review. Thank you so much for sharing your experience; we take great pride in our commitment to deliver a high standard of hospitality within the Elewana Collection. I'm delighted that you enjoyed Moses; he is a long-serving camp guide with very wide local knowledge of this area and everyone appreciates his guiding passion. A large number of animals are grazing around camp every day this week, game viewing have been incredible with lots of wildebeest crossings close-by. It was an absolute pleasure to host you and we are looking forward to your future return. Best regards Simon and the Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp Team
