We are happy to recommend a stay here to all that look for a perfect stay in the Serengeti! Made even better by the manager Gift’s lively stories. Going to bed to the sounds of the Tanzanian night and waking up with Antilopes, Giraffes, water buffaloer on the grass. Our Brittish-Norwegian group of 10 (five adults and five children ages 16, 15, 12, 12 and 10) are all thrilled by the location Fantastic welcome by friendly, smiling and laughing staff in a stunning environment with an unforgettable sunset over the savanna. The lounge, restaurant and terrasse is perfect after a long days Safari. Both dinner and breakfast was very nice. Good, tasty choices for both. The tent rooms are very nicely decorated in a rustic Safari style that gives you a good comfortable stay.
We spent two nights in „Sound of Silence“. It was an unique experience! Very comfortable and romantic sleeping tent. Everything very clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Always there when you need help. Breakfast, dinner and the lunch box leave nothing to be desired. I can warmly recommend this wonderful place!
I stayed two nights in Sound of Silence Serengeti and I love the location and the atmosphere. beautiful clean tents fully equipped in an enchanting setting - completely in the wild with nothing in the horizon but nature and wonderful sunsets. The team is young and dedicated, full of Joy and enthusiasm, very attentive to your every need and very friendly, I felt part of them in just two nights. Gladness, Gift and the rest of the team were wonderful and great to talk to. King Solomon, was the calm force protecting the place, watching the camp when everyone is asleep and making the fire every night! A true hero :)
My family and I (husband and 2 kids, both 12yo) stayed for 2 nights as part of our safari package. The Sounds of Silence Camp exceeded ALL expectations. I expected it to have a luxury feel to it. I did not expect to have the staff, Esther and her wonderful team, to treat us so much like family - they were the best part! The accommodations were more comfortable than imagined - I could have stayed in that bed ALL day! The care and concern they took for us every moment we were there was more than we could have asked for. The food was delicious, the scenery unmatched. Roll up your windows for the short drive through “tsetse town” to get there (the bush) as we affectionately named it, but soon enough you reach this absolute oasis. I really hope to return one day!!
Simply breathtaking! Gorgeous place, beyond friendly and helpful staff! Tent is spacious, very nice and clean. I can recommend this place also for people with food allergies! Here you can be sure to be on the safe side and to receive delicious food!
Pure magic in the savannah. Sound of Silence is everything you dream for in a safari camp experience... and more. The whole camp is beautifully designed, tents that blend into the landscape, offering 180 degree views, with truly luxurious interiors and linen. The absolute stand out however is the staff. Tanzanian hospitality is excellent overall but Sound of Silence is a step above. Within minutes you feel genuinely welcomed and at home. The positive energy of this place, driven by Flora and her dynamic team, is contagious. The staff are kind, friendly and fun, with laughter and song ever-present. And if that isn’t enough, then there’s the food. There’s an a la carte menu which is unusual for even luxury camps, that changes daily, with delicious options for vegetarians. A…
We were there a month ago in mid January 2022! What a special place! The staff are all fabulous and work so hard to make everything so wonderful! We stayed two nights and in the evening after safari the staff were there to greet us with hot towels snacks and drinks!! Really the Royal treatment. Plus wonderful conversation and they listened to our stories from the day. Chef John is an excellent chef making beautiful creations out in the middle of nowhere ! We Miss our friends, Gift Solomon Flora and Reema!! So sweet! We woke every morning to hear animals wandering near our tent but felt super safe! So exciting. The Dining tent is so cozy, drinks are excellent, food fabulous. Rooms are awesome! Comfy beds, rooms look right out over savannah. You can even leave your outer tent…
Unlike the eponymous song, the Sound of Silence in this tented camp is a good thing. One is in the wilderness here. The silence is only interrupted by the sound of wild animals. The tents lack no comfort. The first thing you will see every morning is wildlife. The team are great. The occasional tsetse flies less so.
Sound of Silence was the second camp we stayed at on our 6 day safari, organised by our safari company. Whilst it was a little away from 'the action' in the Serengeti for the time of year it was absolutely worth the extra travel. The staff were absolutely wonderful from start to finish, very attentive, friendly, fun and most importantly authentic which made a huge difference to some of our other experiences. The tents themselves are amazing, really spacious, beautifully decorated with all the little details considered including water for brushing your teeth, torches, hangers and lots of storage space. The food was an absolute HIGHLIGHT, being owned by Jan a Dutchman it had a real European feel whilst still being locally sourced and everything we ate was cooked and seasoned to…
Very nice place to be to go on a safari tour in Serengeti ! You have a wonderful view of the sunset from whichever tent. The animals are around you, you can see zebra, wildebeest, buffaloes ! The staff is very nice and the stay comfortable.
