Lemala Ewanjan is perfectly situated in the central Serengeti at the base of a hill known to host a pride of lions and surrounded by wildlife (note: we never felt unsafe, the tents are secure and Maasai warriors escort you to and from meals). Despite being a tented camp, the facilities are luxurious and impeccably clean. The food is phenomenal - high-end multi-course meals and great to-go lunch boxes - and there's a lovely cocktail hour by the fire pit with snacks every evening. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. We felt so spoiled and grateful during our entire stay. We highly recommend staying here, thank you to the staff for making our trip so special!
Lemala Ewanjan was the highlight of our entire trip to Tanzania, even though we loved all of the accommodations. The physical setting is spectacular. The staff are excellent, attentive but not hovering. The food and the servers were top notch. The rooms were elegant and reminiscent of “out of africa”. I can’t say enough good things about this lovely tent camp.
Sleeping amongst the wild animals Great food and outstanding service Loved the evening fire pit with a drink The tent was large and had all the amenities We enneigés outstanding food prepared by a chef.
This camp was far enough in the Central Serengetti that we had massaai warriors on the property for our safety. Due to this we felt safe. We were escorted to and from our tents by staff. Our wake up coffee was served in our room and the showers were camp showers attended by staff who always had more hot water when we needed it. The meals were fantastic with wonderful soups served every night. Staff made sure our rooms were sprayed for mosquitos each night while we were at dinner and we were secure knowing the sounds we heard outside would stay outside. There was also ample outlets for our devices with a very workable internet…but remember to bring your universal plug adapter.wish we could change stayed longer but this is not to be missed. This location allowed us to see a leapord, cheetahs, raptors, hippos, at least thirty lionesses with one in a tree we drove under. At the last night of our stay we drove to a hill behind our camp and the hotel staff served us drinks and snacks with the whole of the Serengetti surrounding us.…
We, a family of 5, spent 2 nights at this camp and wish we would have booked it for 5 nights! The wildlife experience right out the front flap of the tent was amazing with zebras and giraffes grazing and a lion hunt about 100 meters in front of the property one morning. We were welcomed and cared for like family. The food was delicious and the morning coffee delivery to the tent was a gentle wake up to a daily adventure! I recommend highly and plan on a return visit.
