Dar El Kebira is a Riad fully reinvented to receive guests in search of tranquillity and well-being in the purest Moroccan tradition. Every detail is designed to create a living space expressing luxury and refinement. Dar El Kebira is a gem of Moorish architecture completely restored and furnished. The privacy of places, the authenticity of materials and the harmony of the decor make of the Riad an exceptional place where every guest becomes a privileged customer.
Our stay at Dar El Kebira was an absolute delight! It was a blend of traditional Moroccan elegance and modern comfort. The staff was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the personalized service throughout the stay. The dining at Dar El Kebira Riad's restaurant was simply outstanding. The food was authentic and flavorful. We cannot wait to return! I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an authentic Moroccan experience.

We enjoyed our stay in this riad very much, because of the beautiful building and the polite staff. We followed the road directions received from the hotel and we were picked up. Public parking was easy and safe. Would definitely stay there again.

Greetings from Dar El Kebira, Our guest satisfaction is essentiel for us and we took into consideration all your comments, You prefer hotels as i see, and Riads are very different than hotels, even for the location inside the old medina, the surface area of rooms and the traditionnal style and decoration are the signature of our brand, We hope welcoming you again in better conditions next time, You will always be welcome, Dar El Kebira

Beautiful Riad at the edge of the Medina.. very well located within a short walk of the kasbah and the river promenade. We had a suite which was quite spacious lavishly decorated and comfortable… traditional Moroccan breakfast is provided on the rooftop.. some minor drawbacks include the lack of a small fridge in the room and we seldom found anyone at reception when we could have benefited from local knowledge to some of our questions.

It is a small and simple Riad in a rather nice location in Medina. Overall, I have found it quite sweet and cozy. Staff is nice and polite as well. However, I was very disappointed by the false advertisement on the bookings.com . I have booked one of the more expensive places in its category to have nice Moroccan experience. On purpose I have booked a Delux room. Only to find out when I have arrived at the place that it is nothing that the description promises. It was a small, standard, basic and a rather dark room, with none of the upgrade attributes that were promised. I asked the staff for an explanation but they just said that it is a small Riad and this was the biggest room they had. It feels like I had fallen to a false advertising, which made the whole experience rather tainted.…

Having just stayed at a gorgeous Riad in Fes, my wife and I were pretty disappointed with Dar El Kebira. Upon walking inside, we felt the old presence which was fine, but it seemed completely empty. Being American, there was certainly some difficulty in communication as we requested different activity/dinner options and were left with puzzled looks. Thankfully we were only here for a night. However, when I went to check out from the hotel the next morning, there was nobody around and I had to pay the taxes to a housekeeper. It was a less than memorable experience. As a side note, there were quite a few ants found in the bathroom but nobody was around for me to tell it to.

I will say if we didn’t have trouble with the location and getting past the shops and everyone in the street, then I would have given it a 4 star. If you have money to waste, then it is a beautiful hotel. The decor is very authentic and breathtaking. Unfortunately for this hotel, we stayed in riad Amaris which is only a 5 minute walk away and way better priced. We payed just over £130 for a night here and at the armaris it was like £55 cheaper. Don’t get me wrong the price for the armaris is higher sometime but we got it at a good time. If they are both showing the same price for the time you want to stay, then this hotel is definitely way more traditionally beautiful but we stayed in the suite so the other rooms I can’t speak on. The armaris was a wayyyy better location. It’s not far from the entrance of the market and it’s on a side road where there’s only really hotels. This hotel is more in the market and is located on a residential road! So it’s louder at night and it’s busy and hard to walk through. There was a funeral when we went so we couldn’t even get passed and you have to get through shops, it’s a nightmare sometimes. It’s very uncomfortable as a tourist. I’ll add photos of the streets of both hotels, you’ll know what one is for here because the walls are all chipped and not as nice. To pay that much more for a better decor isn’t worth it for me. We only sleep in the room, so price and location are way more important. The breakfast was the same, in fact I preferred the cheaper hotels breakfast. We get Turkish tea at night and here no biscuits where given with the tea. It may not be a big thing but we stayed in 3 city’s in Morocco and all the cheaper hotels gave biscuits. Weirdly there was also no bin in the room. Just an open bowel in the bathroom which is awkward when disposing of toiletries as a women. One last little thing is the sinks tap is so far back that anytime you wash your hands or face the water goes all over the side and drips all over the floor. I don’t mean it just splatters everywhere, it almost just pours into the side because it’s so badly placed. The workers were lovely, just like everywhere we stayed. I will say it’s nearly impossible to find a hotel that you can get a taxi straight to, especially if you’re staying in the old town. Google maps work fine and just don’t except help and you’ll be fine.…

You feel like a celebrity in this gem of a property hidden deep inside the walls of Rabat's Medina. Great service and beautiful room and courtyard. Oriental flare all over with a truly Moroccan feel. Staff is nice.

We were shocked to discover this was our hotel,in Rabat. Our agent failed to brief us that it is inside the Medina and that we had to walk inside the Medina, passing through shops and sidewalk vendors and what not. The hotel is a riad! My room was charming but very narrow. The shower stall was difficult to manage as the bathtub was narrow and uneven so it was quite difficult to shower. Room Amenities were good, though and complete and thoughtful. Dinner was good (at least my Moroccan soup was!) The massage was not good. Venue was oven hot with no air conditioning so was uncomfortable. Breakfast is soso. But at least they served fruits. Here ( compared to the Taj Atlas Resort in Marrakech where housekeeping filched this same mirror) , housekeeping returned my make up mirror when I forgot to pack it upon checking out! Thank you!…
