A hotel that was probably once a proper 4 star hotel but has completely dropped its standards. The staff doesn’t know what it is doing, nor do they know what they are supposed to do. The manager has the biggest “not my problem” attitude in regards to very basic hotel functions. Let’s begin. First and foremost, no wifi in the rooms. If you thought you were coming to a 4 star hotel with wifi in the rooms, forget it. When asked what happened to the wifi, we were met with a “have you tried going to the balcony and reach your arm out?”, as if this was a reasonable solution. The manager didn’t give a damn about it, and just shrugged his shoulders, not even giving us an answer why there wasn’t wifi. The restaurant: the food was of the lowest quality, unbefitting of a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star canteen. The staff had no idea what they were doing. The tables were halfway set, they didn’t speak anything but Arabic and didn’t want to bother trying. There was a table with sweets for people to take, there were no forks in sight, upon a more careful look, I realized all the tables around the sweet platter were missing forks. I realized that the costumers were forced to steal the forks from the tables to be able to eat the sweets. Again, the staff completely unbothered. The elevators not working, one was working but had the wires from the buttons showing. The rooms were rather good, but then again, in the balcony, some rooms had chairs with cushions, others without. Sometimes they would change the towels, sometimes they didn’t, it was random, despite the request to do so. Air conditioning not working, and when asked to solve the problem or to get a new room, the manager said “Mr. wants a new view”. Again, the staff, for the most part are nice, but absolutely incompetent and careless. The manager just does not care Tl;dr: Avoid the hotel. Not worth it. In fact, stayed in two “Zalagh” hotels, both in Fez and Marrakech, avoid them all. They both have the same problem. Probably rated 4* in the 80’s and never bothered to update.…
Not much good to say at all, very disappointed spent a lot of money booking This hotel for the family got nothing in return stayed at 3 star hotels a lot better managed and organised than this. Save your money Take your business elsewhere. When booking a 4 star hotel you expect quality service basic necessities to work and a happy enjoyable experience leaving with smiles. Here from the 1st minute you arrive everything is chaotic, not very friendly well apart from 3-4 ppl the luggage guy mustafa and abdur, youness at reception, Giovani senior management the tea guy for breakfast not the other in reception. Then we Finally get to the bedroom and try to relax. The sink doesn’t work, barely any water coming out, also at night sometimes no water? Wth! the shower tap is broken, went to reception put complaint in then switched rooms moved all luggage and clothes in 40 degrees Heat moved to a new room and the same story over again, but this time the AC was not working for 2 days and no water in the bathroom at night. Stayed at many hotels around the world but none as bad as this 1, it literally has been terrible from the first day to the last. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere forget visiting Marrakech I won’t be visiting Morocco again. This has been the WORST HOLIDAY EVER!!!…
We were greeted at reception and a gentleman took our bags up too our room it was myself and my sister here for 10 days. Our room was clean and ac worked hotel staff were so helpful went to the club paradise pool every day the entertainment guys were so good at getting everyone involved all staff we spoke to were so friendly. Manager was also helpful when booking in or WiFi problems exchanging money over at the front desk was a bit time consuming but overall the room was clean staff were helpful was in a good location nice weather and not expensive too the night life of bars and clubs were good tooo will be back soon!
Lovely hotel, even lovelier staff. Food unbelievably delicious. Had a fantastic holiday. All the staff were fabulous but the entertainment lads were abolutely delightful. Really enjoyed the country, the food and the people
We visited this hotel in late February 2020, it was brilliant, despite some language difficulties, the staff were friendly as can be and would do anything for you, the food was good and the atmosphere very welcoming, a quiet oasis in a very busy city. Far enough out from the centre of marakesh to be calm and near enough to get a cheap taxi to the fna square( if you like that hustle and bustle). There was a supermarket with restaurants 500 metres walk away. The rooms were nice and had shower and bath, they had AC, a TV and a fridge. A great base to use to explore marakesh A quietly excellent hotel
We loved it. Yes, there are some health & safety issues (blocking off a stairway with an ankle-height metal bar & no warning signs..) but if you're not a complete moron, you'll be fine. The staff are friendly & helpful. English isn't their first language....or even their third. Manage your own expectations. I wanted a hotel that made me think i was in the film 'Casablanca'. This was perfect. If you want 5 Star luxury, stay in England. The room was clean and tidy. There were taxis ready to take you to the medina for £3 and a wonderful swimming pool to relax by (the main one was being refurb'd, but it has to be done at SOME point, right?) I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I f you didn't like it, I would ask yourself if you were being entirely realistic.
The hotel room we was allocated we had to change that night the balcony door did not lock bathroom and room dirty second room much better but still dated the food was disgusting same thing everyday the spa had to pay extra for cold jacuzzi the entertainment guys was the nicest dancing to Zumba with the kids will defo not be going back And no internet only in lobby was very very disappointed not disabled friendly
We have just returned from staying at this hotel. It must be said that the hotel definitely need to address the maintenance of things such as door keys, hair dryers and gym equipment. and we did have to swap rooms after the first night due to the traffic noise, but ultimately this is a lovely hotel, with very friendly staff who make a huge effort. We ate at the hotel for New Years Eve and had a superb five course meal. Despite the mass of people eating at the same time, everything was delicious and served hot. The entertainment and general atmosphere in the room was also great. The pools and lounging areas were great. All very clean and comfortable. We booked excursions such as Ouzoud Waterfalls through the hotel and had a wonderful time. Stay aware in public.
I honestly don't know where to start. The hotel should not be advertised as a 4 star. The cleanliness and facilities were not even 3 star. Upon checking in they put us into a triple room even though my booking was a family room. They only changed it when I pointed out what I actually booked, they even looked at me like I was the one making a fuss even though they couldn't be bothered to check my booking. The hotel's has no amenities like a kettle or even drinking water. NO DRINKING WATER??!!. I was with my family and they wouldn't even give me 300ml of milk for a baby! When we asked they charged us 20 Dhirams. We were forced to buy water and milk from the local supermarket but even then the hotel has a ridiculous policy of not letting in food from outside! When they saw us with drinking water they demanded we not enter the hotel with it. Water is a basic necessity, the hotel doesn't provide it, I don't want to pay over the odds for it but I'm not allowed to bring to from outside either? This was outrageous. There was no help or assistance provided to make guests feel welcome Breakfast was as basic as you can get, not even a selection of fruit and veg, tables were not even cleaned and prepared on time for someone else to sit down. Any other 4star hotel would happily provide this without questions but this hotel were not accomodating at all. This hotel is not kids friendly at all. Most staff do speak English which is fine as I don't expect them to be fluent, but it made getting them to understand very difficult.…
This hotel is suffering from delusions of grandeur... it may once have been a very beautiful and upmarket hotel now unfortunately it is tired tatty and unsafe!!! When we first arrived we were shown to a room that was not only dirty but unsanitary. When I complained we were moved to another room which was almost clean... (we had to move our own bags no help offered)the Aircon /heating does not work... the safe in the room did not work... When I went to reception to report this they asked us to go back to the room and they would send an engineer immediately 45 minutes later somebody arrived it could not be fixed so they said they would change the safe to which we had to sit and wait for another 40 minutes.. aircon will work when it fells like it...no apology or compensation was given for our time... The food here can only be described as bad at best I have seen raw chicken being handled and then the same tongs are being used to dish up cooked food cross contamination is rife if you suffer from an allergy such as I do you could end up being extremely ill at best...( Fish and nuts are picked up be the same hands that severs everything else) gloves are not always worn and heating lights over the pre-cooked food are often left off... therefore the food is tepid at best... ( breeding ground for disease and bad stomachs) All inclusive means you may get a small selection of local beverages between 10 am and 10 pm this does not include all tea and coffee or even water or ice cream... if you would like to use the indoor heated pool there is a charge !!! in fact there is a charge for almost everything here... The rug is in the hallways are a trip hazard they are also old and faded.... The cleaning staff throw water on the tiled floors in the morning in fact most of the day then just wipe them leaving them very slippy with no wet floor signs or any indication that the floor may be slippy.... I found myself wondering through the hotel I went up a flight of stairs to find that I could get out onto the roof and the door was not locked in fact it was held open by a gas canister any child could walk up here and be in great danger... If you do not speak fluent French you will either be ignored or have to wait twice as long as anyone who does... If you try and book tours you end up with the hotels our tour not the one you thought you would be booking.... When we were here we met a couple that were charged ( I.e. they were told if they didn’t pay it they could get out the hotel) £250 before being allowed into their room as they will be here over New Year and there is a big gala but everybody has to pay to go to whether you want to or not!!!! Another couple had presents they had bought stolen from their room and management basically said not our problem cleaners thought that presents were just rubbish and were given a small amount of monetary compensation again no apology... both my partner and I had extreme bad stomachs and diarrhoea... today it has been so bad I have not been able to find a single cleaner with toilet roll left to be able to give us any ....I can only presume the hotel is down with it as there is no one by the pool... This is not a full star hotel this is a two star at best... staff are arrogant and unhelpful.... my advice is to avoid at all costs!!! Worst holiday ever... can’t wait to get home... if I had the money I would’ve paid to leave sooner!!!! …
