We were pleased with the room itself, but the tub/shower in the bathroom was rather unsafe to get into and out of. Also, we had a problem with the air conditioning. It took more than an hour and two calls to get someone to come up to fix the problem. Also this 5-star hotel for

This is a very attractive property, with an ornate lobby and a beautiful (unheated) swimming pool. The breakfast buffet features an array of choices, though I found the quality only so-so. For me, the biggest deficiency was the uncomfortable bed and pillows; I did not sleep

We stayed for two nights. Check in was easy and fast. We had a nice size room. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the hotel atmosphere. We didn’t swim but the pool looked very inviting.

As a group tour we were very close given that our bus didn’t have far at all to get us there. Pool lovely area. Rooms are large...with nice balconies for your morning cafe or evening nightcap. (be sure to ask for one). Breakfast was ok...didn’t eat in the restaurant.

Is there a facility to do self-serve laundry (washing machine)?
The hotel has a rather pricey laundry service; however there is a popular "people's mall" right next door and I would bet that there's a laundromat there. Just beware of the pick-pocket, "begging" children around the outside of the mall. The mall also contains one of Morocco's rare wine and liquor store and several pizza places if you don't want to eat in the hotel.

Laundry service is available, but due to my early departure the next day, I didn't use it. They told me that the deliver after 10.00 am.

Are there American style electrical outlets?
We didn't encounter flat prong outlets anywhere in Morocco. You will need a converter, even for the Palais Hotel.
