A traditional courtyard house in the central medina beautifully restored with great flair and imagination. There are 2 bedrooms, 5 suites, each with its own bathroom. The house has central heating as well as air-conditioning. Thai and indian silks, italian marble, 18th and 19th french furnitures, original contemporary artworks - all combine effortlessly with mosaics, carved tadelakt and cedarwood to make this an interesting take on traditional moroccan architecture. Our team will host you taking great care and providing advices to make your journey unforgettable!

I had been in Morocco before so it was not my first experience at a Riad. I was welcomed by the manager Driss who showed me the place. I was the only guest because they were remodelling. My room was the only one ready and I could spot some traces of dust and works. But I find that normal since all the floors were covered in plastics and cement.
I discovered then that after 6pm the place would be empty. I would be by myself. At first it sounded ok but when I got back in the afternoon it felt a bit scary. All the 4 or 5 floors with the plastics and just me in the dark... it didn't feel safe at all. The door didn't have any special lock! Just a simple key! I found this very appalling. Never happened again during my following stays in Meknes, Moulay Idriss and Marrakesh. Never had happened before.
They arranged for a driver to take me to my next stop (immediately regretted that) and of course found out that it cost me 3 times more than the regular price.
More things could be said but I guess these are the most relevant. I don't recommend this place at all.
Thank Susana

I cannot speak more highly of this charming riad that was beautifully restored with a modern touch. The rooms are very well decorated, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the best that we had on our trip to Morocco.
The owner was there during our stay and was beyond generous, even driving us to the bus station on our departure day. Driss (the manager) was very kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
This was the highlight of our trip to Morocco and the hospitality is the best we experienced. I would recommend this place to anyone!

If you are looking for a quiet (and I mean quiet) place that feels like you are coming at home at the end of the day then this is it. Even when full it feels like your the only ones here. The service here is amazing. Never did they say no to a single request (and believe me our requests were very out of the ordinary) and if they couldn’t do something they went above and beyond to make something happen through the use of their local contacts. Driss the manager is everything a manager should be and it is because of him that we had a great stay. Also if you want dinner make sure you book it in advance or ask for it at breakfast time. The food is home cooked goodness and well worth it.

Stayed two nights in the deluxe suite on the top floor of the house. The room was modern and comfortable with a small sitting area and private courtyard attached. The view from the roof was AMAZING! Since La Maison Maure is located on the higher part of the medina, you can basically see the entire medina spreading out below you. It was also within walkable distance from all the major sights.

Breakfast took place on the roof and was truly enjoyable. We were given a wide selection of bread, cakes and pancakes together with spread, condiments and cheese. The homemade yoghurt was a wonderful addition.

The team was very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. We had to leave early in the morning on our last day and they made sure we were given tea and cake. When our driver couldn’t find the place, they did their utmost to help us.

Minor issues:
The toilet and the bathroom with wash basin were located at two ends of the room, which made it a bit inconvenient.
The only toiletry provided was a piece of soap but we brought some with us so it was not a problem.
Noise travelled far in the house (which was several hundred years old). We were a bit jetlagged the first night and went to bed early and we got woken up by noise several times.

Overall speaking, despite some small inconveniences, the place really did feel like a home away from home and we would definitely stay there again.

We couldn't have stumbled upon a better place to stay in Fez. The parking was easy (watch out for the motorcycle tour guides.) we were guided to the location- inside was of course stunning. Polished French inspired yet very Moroccan and most importantly, relaxing. They were extremely accommodating- booking us the best tour guide, dinner spots, and guides to and from everything. BEST breakfast- Driss is a fantastic chef! They even got us a room in a riad in another city when our next destination fell through. We are already looking forward to going back and staying with them!
Thank elizabeth e
