Beautiful 14th century Fassi Riad that hums the wonders of history. We spent the afternoon here for a couples Hammam & Spa experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, took time to offer tea, pastries and enchanting conversations. Highly recommend !!

A beautiful Riad in a great location and amazing service from Ana and Hamid. Rooms are huge and staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They ensured we felt safe getting to and from the Riad, and we had a fantastic hammam on our last day after checking out.

Me and my friend stayed here for two days. When we first walked in we were in awe of the beauty of the courtyard and our room. It’s a truly stunning space with incredible tiling and molding work. We had dinner on the roof with a wonderful view of the Medina and a delicious meal prepared by Mama Fatima, the owner’s mother. Through our stay we received excellent service and accommodations from the staff Anna, Hamid, and Ayamen. I received a Hannam, a popular Moroccan spa treatment, that was very relaxing. Each morning we received a complimentary Moroccan breakfast and coffee on the roof. The location of the Riad was perfect for exploring the Medina. When we left they gave us small plates as souvenirs to take home. I would strongly recommend Riad Fes Maya to anyone looking to take a trip to Fes. 5 stars.

Perhaps if I hadn’t just stayed at the perfect Riad in Marrakech I wouldn’t have been so disappointed. We arrived around 9 pm and entered the Riad to find the lights off. I’ve never entered a hotel where the lights are off. We were enthusiastically greeted by the receptionist/concierge/manager; however, it felt phony and forced. We were shown to our rooms and I wasn’t impressed. Sure, initially, the hotel and rooms look beautiful. However, you immediately see the flaws. Broken shower heads, dirty bathrooms, holes in towels, dirty flatware, broken faucets, broken trash cans. Oh, and the smell . There was a stale, musty smell in all of the rooms. It smelled like sewage. We had dinner and breakfast at the Riad and it was mediocre at best. Apparently, the owners Mother prepares all meals. However, we never saw her, and thought it odd for one person to prepare all meals for an entire hotel. In the evenings, the lights were always off when we arrived. I’m talking at like 8 pm. It felt like a ghost hotel. The entire time we were there, we only saw five people working. There was only one woman at reception and she seemed to do multiple jobs , so we had to wait for her to get/drop off keys, report issues, etc. Two cleaning women, which is nowhere near enough considering the size of the Riad. It further explains why the rooms weren’t cleaned. And, two gentlemen who helped with bags and everything else it seems. Hamid’s service was excellent. He was everywhere doing everything! He was our waiter at breakfast, baggage carrier, etc. He was always friendly, always pleasant, and helpful despite the fact he seemed to be pulled in 100 directions. One of the biggest mishaps was laundry. They mixed up laundry for two people I was traveling with. At 1 am we we’re working with the receptionist/manager to fix the issue. Mind you, they gave women’s clothes to a man and vice versa. Despite this, she charged them for the services. 10 minutes after we checked out, the Manager contacted our tour guide asking if we could give them a review and inquiring about our stay. When I mentioned all of the issues (which we expressed during our visit). Although she apologized, she quickly became defensive, which negated the apology. She kept asking for us to come back to resolve the issue, and over talked me the entire conversation. Final thoughts - the photos show a beautiful Riad - which it is, until you look a bit closer. It’s old, but it’s obvious it’s not well kept. Major issues are overlooked, and they’re clearly understaffed. I’m not hard to please, and I have reasonable expectations. However, this place left a lot to be desired. It’s disappointing because this Riad could be great if they put as much effort and care into the facility as they do hassling you to leave a positive review.

Our stay at Riad Fes Maya Suite & Spa was fantastic due to three main criterias:  - the palace, restored in pure traditional morocan style - the place near to the Médina with a wonderfull view from the rooftop - the global facilities food and spa offer were first class But what made our stay unforgetable is how Ibtissam and Hamid took good care of us, how they welcomed, served and made our life sweet.

Me and my fiance had a great great experience. The riad is perfectly wonderful. We will definitely visit again. And also the breakfast was really beautiful. Thank you for every kindness and great memory. 너무너무 예쁜 리아드와 아침식사였어요. 추천합니다. 페스 중심 메디나에서 가깝고 걸어다니기도 좋아요. 주인분이 너무나 친절합니다

The Riad is extremely beautiful with a lot of nice details - it is the most beautiful Riad I have seen so far. There is an amazing terrace - you‘ll have a superb view over the Medina and can enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helps with everything you need.
