We stayed 4 nights at Chaa Creek in the Tree Top Villas. We had a fabulous stay. We greatly enjoyed our private plunge pool and over view of the river. We even saw Toucans from our balcony. We did the Tikal tour, which was a highlight of our 10-day trip to Belize. Our guide was wonderful, and the trip was so easy thanks to Chaa Creek's planning. We also did the horseback riding, bird watching, sunset canoe trip, and open hearth cooking. The sunset canoe trip was disappointing. We had to canoe upriver and the current was strong. We aren't expert canoers and couldn't get our canoe past the rapids. The open hearth cooking was fun but $50/person was steep for rice and beans. Overall, Chaa Creek is a beautiful place and a great way to experience mainland Belize. I love how much the owners have done for ecotourism in Belize and how much they support the local people. All of the staff at Chaa Creek were very friendly and helpful.

I cannot rave enough about our amazing stay at Chaa Creek. We booked based solely on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and expectations were greatly exceeded. Our river-view room was stunning, the grounds were immaculate, and the staff went above and beyond for us every step of the way. The excursions we went on (Xunatunich and zipline/cave tubing) were so much fun, and we had no clue the resort provided a private driver/guide for these activities! Kevlin, Edward, and Oneil were such entertaining and knowledgeable guides- we learned so much about Belizean history and culture from them, they were the highlight of our trip. The food was fabulous and our server, Marco, took great care of our family. The bar was an even bigger hit, with a rotating supply of fruit-infused rums and tequila to try- so many tasty cocktails! We saw butterflies (the butterfly tour was a hit with our kids!), coati, howler monkeys, toucans, and countless other birds all from the porch of our suite. I feel like we didn't even scratch the surface of adventures to be had - our stay was far to short. We will definitely be back!

Cannot say enough positive things about The Lodge at Chaa Creek. Our family of 4 had an amazing time and would definitely return on another visit to Belize. All staff, especially our tour guides and restaurant servers, were amazing! The Lodge is extremely well maintained and provides a beautiful setting in the Jungle. The amenities offered on-site are great including the Natural History Center and Butterfly Exhibit. We wish we could have had another day or two to take advantage of all that is offered at Chaa Creek!

Beautiful resort set in the jungle, great food, and the staff were all amazing. Our guides were great for zip lining, cave tubing, Mayan ruins at Xunantunich, and several other hikes. The wildlife was great to see.

The Chaa Creek Lodge was both edenic and superbly run. I was there for professional meetings and the lodge and its outstanding staff supported our group marvelously. In addition, the birding, the wildlife, the frog choruses at night, as well as the food and accommodations, were simply enchanting.

This place is literally heaven on Earth. As soon as we arrived we were given a fresh juice along with a cold cloth infused with eucalyptus to help us relax. Our room had a private outdoor jacuzzi and we were awaken every morning with the musical sounds of the variety of birds on campus. The room was so comfortable, and every meal was delicious. Every staff member was so knowledgeable about the history and culture and were eager to share their knowledge. The ATM was by far the best excursion lead by Alexie, and taking the cooking class with Luby allowed us to learn even more about the culture while learning great cooking tricks. While exploring Xunantunich with Ricky, he took us off the path and helped paint a picture to grasp the beauty and impact of the place. If you are thinking about booking, don't hesitate and just do it. You will not regret it.

Our family of 13 ranging in age from 75 to 5 spent three nights at Chaa Creek the first week of June staying in three cottages and the orchard villa. The property is really gorgeous and the rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed. Our bathroom was really nice with the very large two person shower. Plus we had an outdoor shower. We had a nice front deck with two chairs plus hammock hooks and hammocks were in the room. The infinity pool was a big hit. The food and drinks were excellent. The butterfly exhibit was great. Those who went horseback riding said it was excellent. Excursion wise we visited Xunantunich and Cahal Pech one day and went cave tubing the next day. Both excursions were great and our guides were awesome. All of the staff were exceedingly courteous and helpful. I wish we had had a fourth night so that we could have had more time to really explore the property. I love Chaa Creek’s story. They are certainly the granddaddy of all the eco-lodges in Belize. The howler monkeys and birds gave us quite the concert every night. Do be aware that the cottages do not have central AC. They do have two ceiling fans and a large floor fan. We were pretty warm the first night, but plenty comfortable the next two nights. Maybe our bodies just got used to it. A hint—keep the door to your bathroom closed. That may have been why we were much more comfortable after the first night. One surprising thing was that the cottages did not lock from the outside, just from the inside. Obviously we kept our valuables in the safe which was a very easy one to operate. Overall our stay at Chaa Creek was superb and we made memories that will last a lifetime!

Very friendly, well-organized, and efficient. And beautifully grounds within a beautiful setting with a rich array of bird life and other fauna. It's difficult to think of how a stay at Chaa Creek Lodge might be improved.
