My first impression was it looked better on Trip Advisor pictures. The rooms are rustic and small and dark. Our AC wasn’t working very well but it didn’t hinder our stay. Rooms have flat screen TVs (though very small). They have a purified water bottle...More
We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a room off to the side of the resort secluded from the rest, which was very nice. You are greeted with friendly faces and a welcome cocktail. Throughout our time there the staff was nothing short of...More

Hello! We live in Guatemala and drove to Belize so we booked everything directly with the hotels I researched... There should not be any problems for you to book a rental car at the airport and then contact the hotels directly. Nothing is more than a couple of hours away. That way you can leave the car before you head to San Pedro or to Caye Caulker (San Pedro is more resort/adult and Caulker more chill/young crowd, I'd say...). We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in Hopkins and the excursions in San Ignacio a lot but the snorkeling from San Pedro was also great.
