Ari literally saved our trip. We had rented a home in San Pedro that not accurately described nor were the pictures accurate. The pictures had shown a beach, a well kept home and were taken prior to a nightclub being built next door 4 years...More

I would highly recommend snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley where you swim with sharks and stingrays.
If doing a mainland tour, cave tubing and ziplinning are great along with Maya ruin tours. These can be combined.
At the resort we have complimentary paddle boards, kayaks, snorkle and fishing gears and the world's second longest reef is just offshore.
Exploring the island with a rented golf cart is fun too, but the roads can be very bumpy and muddy after rain.
Please contact our office and they can help arrange anything you want to do.

The island is beautiful up north but it is 9 miles from San Pedro which is the only town on the island. But north has the betrer beaches and the resort works very hard keeping them clean because certain times of the year a lot of seagrassum wash in. But staff are out early and cleaning it all up. It all depends what kind of vactioneer you are, if you want to relax and enjoy life eat and drink, do some great tours, snorkel, kayak, paddle board and enjoy the outdoors it is great. If you want to go to different bars and restaurants at night it may be a bit far for you. The water taxi runs early and reasonably late and yes the roads are bumpy but so much fun to explore the island in a golf cart. Belize in general is not like Cancun or Costa Rica it is less developed but makes it less spoilt. That is a bonus it my book. I think some people are expecting something else but you need to read about it and know your own comfort limits.
