Hotel's Favourite
The last few days stay at the Lyle has been an amazing experience. The location is perfectly situated on a quiet tree-lined street with great walkability to delicious dining. The room was bright and well appointed with comfortable beds and beautiful details. A gym, on-site restaurant…. I can go on and on, but what sets the Lyle apart is the staff! Every question and request was met with an immediate cheerful response. A big thanks to Taylor, Blane and Johnny who each helped us with our stay and a big shout out to Johnny for a happy birthday weekend! I am so impressed with the friendliness and assistance of the Lyle’s team! The Lyle is unquestionably the place to call home when on the road in DC, and where I will return to again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lyle hotel. The first night after arriving late (about 11 pm) from our cross country trip we were checked into our room, a superior King room with kitchenette. The night clerk was very friendly and welcoming. In the morning I found our bed to be a little too soft to my liking although of very high quality. I asked the front desk clerk the next morning "Gigi" if there was something we could do to make the bed a little more firm even if it meant moving to another room. Gigi suggested that the housekeeping can remove the top "Pillow top" of the mattress to make it feel more firm. I said that would be great. They did that very quickly that morning and the bed was perfect. The remainder of the stay was flawless. The room was new and in good quality condition. Breakfast and cocktails at the restaurant/bar were very good. The Dupont circle neighborhood was beautiful and great for walks with the trees and wonderful architecture of the homes and historic embassies. Many good and friendly restaurants within walking distance. Also and inexpensive Uber ride $8.00 to DC monuments and all that DC has to offer. All in all we really enjoyed our trip. Thank you Lyle hotel!

My wife chose this hotel and we had a very pleasant stay, well beyond our expectations. Everything was good: valet parking, front desk, room, breakfast and food at the restaurant, all delivered by a nice and professional customer oriented personnel.

Right from the beginning we had a very pleasant experience when staying at the Lyle. Upon arrival, someone was outside to valet park the car. He was extremely courteous and quick. When checking in, they were familiar with the reservation and even commented that the crib we requested was already upstairs and to please let them know if there was anything else needed for the baby. We stayed in the deluxe queen double with kitchenette, which was a wonderful size for three adults, a baby, and our small dog to celebrate our daughters first birthday. The room was beautiful and all items such as the dishes, sheets, robes, etc, were all of great quality and nicely chosen. Upon entering the room, the crib was there, but we noticed that the dog bed/bowl was not. I called down to the front desk and they had someone bring this up to us right away. The dog amenities were such a lovely touch. For dinner, we stopped down at the restaurant for a quick bite, where everyone was beyond accommodating with a 1 year old and continually offered to get anything I needed, smiled when passing, and made for a very easy going meal. Later on we re-visited the restaurant for a cocktail and dessert and to no surprise, we were impressed yet again. The staff not only made delicious cocktails, but they were extremely friendly and carried on great conversation. The next morning, we decided to go for an early drive around town and requested for our car from valet. While we unfortunately did not realize valet started at 7am (I believe?), the manager (Taylor), was extremely quick to jump in and offer to get the car herself for us - not something most managers would do at 6:30am. In addition to all of the lovely amenities and friendly employees, they also allowed us to check out late to allow the baby to get a morning nap in. Not once did we feel like a burden to anyone there, yet felt like they were eager and happy to make the stay for us memorable and easy going. I can't give them enough stars to explain how happy we were with our recent visit and experience. Thank you to Lyle and their team for making a weekend trip such a lovely one. We hope to be back soon!
