I returned to this hotel to stay for a business trip for almost a month— and because it was so great Im going to stay again for another month! First and foremost I must thank the Front Desk Supervisor Mr. Alani who made my staff perfect! He greeted me every time he saw me and asked how he could make my stay more enjoyable. He made sure as a Lifetime Titanium Member I had a perfect stay. The staff is so friendly and the room was modern, clean, with a great layout. The breakfast is outstanding - food was top notch. The housekeeping staff was also amazing— they made the room look like the first day I checked-in - everyday! They have s great gym with free weights machines and cables. Finally the location is perfect with plenty of bars and great restaurants within walking distance - plus a 24 hour CVS and Wawa next door. Thank you Mr. Alani thank you for all your help during my stay - see you next week for another month! Thank you thank you thank you!

If you're looking for a hotel that will enhance your overall travel experience, show you and your loved ones the utmost hospitality and a team of people who will treat you like royalty, there is no need to search any further. The Westin Washington DC Center is perfectly located in the heart of the city. This gem is simply a short walking distance from the White House and National Mall; a few blocks from major restaurants and the night life, not to mention a short LYFT ride from Georgetown. However, aside from its ideal location and beautiful facility, what makes the Westin Washington DC Center the ideal hotel of choice were people like Cristela Rivera (the Front Desk Supervisor), Cynthia Gianuca (the Chief Concierge) and Kent who went above and beyond to guarantee a remarkable experience. From meeting our special room requests, assisting us in booking reservations for performances and dinners, to allowing us to check in early (due to our long journey to DC), Cynthia, Cristela and Kent went above the call of duty to ensure that my boyfriend and I had an experience of a lifetime in DC. As someone who claims DC as a second home, I can vouch for this location and would recommend anyone to book a room at the Westin Washington DC Center. You will NOT be disappointed!

My new wife and I chose this hotel because of its convenience to all the monuments and proximity to downtown.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location that allowed us to walk for dining, quick grabs from CVS and Black Lives Matter Plaza. The White House is just a few blocks away!

The staff were one of the best perks of our stay at the Westin. Kent greeted us upon our arrival and served as the area expert over the next few days. He was excellent at offering hot spots and great dining options. Two thumbs way up to Kent!!

The hotel grounds are what I’d expect from the Westin brand since I stayed at Westin Kansas City just 3 weeks prior. It’s a clean property with modern decor. While the restaurant and bar was not open due to Covid restrictions, that didn’t bother me much since Kent had many alternatives available that were within walking distance.

If we couldn’t actually walk to a location, there were the bike and scooter rentals available at just a couple of dollars so we had a great experience during our stay at Westin Washington DC central!

I started at my company in September of 2019 as a Meeting & Events Planner. In the short time of working in my office, I was told that I needed to setup a meeting at a DC Hotel. Since September, I believe that I have contracted 5 room blocks with meetings at your hotel.

The customer service that I have received from your hotel has always been 5 stars. Before my current company, I worked in hotels from 2000-2019. To say that I am a tough critic of hotels would be an understatement. Lori Shephard, Jalil Saadvandi, Kayla Cherry and Wilton Madison have all been fantastic to work with.

Cynthia Gianuca is now being added to the list of names above. She received a frantic call from me on February 27th. I had recently booked an extremely short termed booking for your hotel with the Department of Education, in DC. I was tasked with finding restaurants in the area of your hotel as the conference attendees were on their own for lunch. I haven't ever been to your hotel and had no idea how long that would take. I was sitting at an airport on the East Coast having flight delays. I thought ... I wonder if the concierge at the hotel would have such a list? Cynthia took my call and said that she was actually leaving soon. She asked if she could send me the document in the morning? I told her that I needed it today as the group arrived in the morning. She turned her laptop on and sent me the email. This may seem like a small task. I so appreciated her having the list and sending it to me asap. I was able to get the email to my client and gave her all of the credit.

Thank you for having a 1st class team. I am incredibly loyal to your hotel and will be back with meetings once the world craziness is done.

We checked in and checked out within 3 hours. Let me start by saying this hotel is in need of an update/remodel. Our room had a spot where the full length mirror once hung but at some point had fallen and it was not replaced. Just old looking and dated. If you are staying here Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday do NOT plan on enjoying any sort of beverage or food onsite. We decided to grab a drink at the hotel bar (that clearly states it is open on the website) only to be told that it’s only open Thursday-Sunday. Okay……and there are no other options open on property. There was also a man in the lobby that was asleep/passed out in the chair when we checked in….when we checked out a few hours later he had moved to the a table in the atrium….still passed out. We pointed this out to the front desk agent as we left It’s not busy…more like a morgue so not sure why they were so surprised when we told them about him. We moved down the street to the Courtyard. If you have a pulse, you’ll avoid this place a d pick another hotel.

As a Marriott loyalist who is sent to DC often for work, I'm slowly making my way through all of the Bonvoy properties in the district. Finally got to the Westin City Center, and really, really enjoyed it. My room had a king bed with a large tv and two arm chairs. Since it faced the atrium, it was crazy dark in there with the curtains closed, which made it so easy to sleep. Despite the hotel's age, I think my room was recently renovated as it only had a walk-in shower and no tub. The gym is excellent, with two pelotons in good shape. The restaurant/bar is usually hopping, and the food is very good for a hotel restaurant. Free breakfast for Ambassadors and Titaniums is very generous. I was impressed with the way the front desk handled an issue during my stay: one night I returned to the room late and noticed my air conditioner wasn't working. The desk agent said the maintenance person had just gone home for the night, so he quickly sent a fan up to my room along with a free drink coupon for my trouble. I turned the AC off for the night and when I woke up it seemed to be working ok, but the desk sent someone up to check on it to make sure I didn't have another unpleasant surprise when I got back that night. The only other minor issue was I found that my bathroom often had, for lack of a better word, a somewhat "poopy" smell to it during the week. I couldn't tell if it was coming from the shower or toilet tank or what. I also noticed that same smell sometimes while I was in the lobby near the elevators, so I'm not sure if the hotel was dealing with a plumbing issue while I was there, but if I had stayed another night or two, I likely would have mentioned it to the desk. In all, I really enjoyed the hotel and the location and will return on my next trip.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Washington DC City Center for our family reunion this year, and what a great experience. The wonderful staff at the hotel made staying here a treat. Though we'd planned this trip last year and our group sales rep was no longer with the hotel, Jerome, Jaclyn, Chris and Robert ensured that our visit was not affected by the change in contact and that our every need was met. The valet, and the bellman Isaiah, made our arrival seamless. We had an accessible room which was clean, spacious and well outfitted with a seating area, refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave (available upon request). At the hotel's Infamy Restaurant, the food was very tasty and filling with nice sized portions, and the drinks were on-point. Derrick and Berry were friendly and attentive, offering great service. They were also very knowledgeable on which sights to visit in the area. Tierra and the ladies at the Starbuck Coffee bar in the lobby also took great care of us, serving fresh pastries and refreshing teas / coffees; however, please note the Starbucks Coffee bar has limited hours, after which you can either enjoy the great offerings of Infamy or venture out to the other area Starbucks a few blocks away. The hotel is in a very convenient location, within walking distance to various tourist sites, with both a Wawa and CVS located just around the corner. I highly encourage you to consider the Westin Washington DC City Center for your next DC visit.

For a Westin property, I was actually disappointed. It's in a phenomenal location, close to Dupont Circle and the White House/BLM Plaza.
Even as a Titanium Elite Marriott member, I couldn't get(or pay for) a room upgrade, so we were stuck with what was a standard room, even though our booking said it was a "deluxe" room. Very small. Rooms only had a view of the inside atrium, which was also disappointing. Room looked dated, with small, old-looking bathtubs in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, which was a plus. We weren't offered any kind of breakfast(not even pre-packaged or snacks), and only received one bottle of water in our room. Service lacked here, especially for it to be a Westin. To have so many other options in the same price range nearby, I'd definitely say go elsewhere. Marriott brands in D.C. need serious upgrading!

Hello traveler, Thank you for staying at the Westin Washington DC City Center and for telling us about your recent experience. We regret to hear that you were not fully satisfied with your overall stay with us and would like to apologize for not fully exceeding your expectations. Our hotel is an atrium style hotel and the majority of the guest rooms are facing the atrium, however we do have a list of rooms that has exterior views facing M street. Upon your next visit, we would be more than happy to accommodate you with a room facing M street upon request. Again; thank you for choosing our hotel. We do hope that you will consider giving us another chance on a future trip to DC.

I spent one night here while in town for a running tour of the area. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Located within walking distance to several stores, restaurants and DC sites. Nice workout area. If you are taking the Metro to the hotel, you may want to get off at the McPherson Square station. The hotel is about a 6 minute walk for there. Valet parking is available here; I believe it was $50.00 for overnight parking.

I arrived during the middle of a "Tornado" to a warm welcome. The sweet young African American girl name Aileen was pleasant offering towels to dry off immediately. Her constant smile and upbeat attitude took my mind off of a very bad traveling experience. We talked during check in and I witnessed she is major support system to your team. She helped me, the other staff member, and two frustrated people who were waiting all while checking me in. She even helped me avoid loosing my reservation BEFORE I arrived by contacting me directly to see if I would make it due to the storm and changing my reservation dates. I am here for business and asked about moonlight tours. I received a follow up "Welcome" email with very useful information including what I asked about. Nothing else about the hotel mattered to me after this. This is the hospitality experience I remember before everything turned digital. I will return just for this reason! Your night team is a breath of fresh air.

I never use the WiFi in hotels even if it’s free for security reasons. I instead use the data on my phone I’ve been told is much safer.
