I booked a one night stay for two to celebrate a birthday. We've been to the bar at The Line a number of times, but neither of us had stayed at the hotel before. I've seen the rooms, so I had small idea about what to expect. Yet we both were pleasantly surprised. We were given a room on the 7th floor with a view of 18th street. It was cozy, cute and relaxing. We grabbed dinner down the street that night and had a cocktail at the bar. In the morning we treated ourselves to coffee and pastries. It was a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the service was helpful. The cut off is 10pm, so don't wait if you need something. The only real downside is the price tag. We stayed over on a Thursday night, but it was still probably $150 more than what I wanted to pay if it wasn't a birthday. The extra fees add up fast.

ONE OF MY FAV HOTELS EVER!! We loved our stay here so much, we ended up extending from one night to three! Traveling during the pandemic is stressful— but the Line went above and beyond to provide an exceptional, safe space for us to call home during our trip. Contactless check-in was amazing, there were hand sanitizer stations throughout the building, and even the gym felt immaculately clean (so grateful for the socially distanced treadmills!) We absolutely loved the rooftop bar with views of the Monument, and the service at both the cafe and lobby bar was exceptional. Big shoutout to our bartender who took care of us each night; he made it so much fun and also introduced us to the absolutely crucial matcha IPA! I initially chose the hotel for the location and cool aesthetic, but the super clean amenities and amazingly kind people were what actually made it so special. Want to give a big THANK YOU to the front desk staff who were so accommodating (helped us plan a bike trip through the sites), and the housekeeping staff for doing such an awesome job during a really stressful time in our world. Thanks for making us feel at home! I can't wait to come back :)

Delightful stay at The Line Hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and all precautions are taken to ensure the safety of guests. The rooftop terrace is a sight to behold; have a drink and take in Washington DC with amazing panoramic views. I stayed in the standard king room; the room was thoughtfully decorated with cool artwork, a comfortable bed, and complimentary hand sanitizer, though there is ample hand sanitizer available throughout the hotel. At check in, staff offered recommendations for nearby dining options, which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I had originally planned to get married in her hometown Santa Barbara with a 150-200 person wedding in summer 2020, and then COVID happened…Forced to push our large celebration out a year, my fiancé at the time and I did not want to wait another year to get married.

Originally, we were looking for a room for the girls to get ready and for us to stay on our wedding night, when we found the “Monument Suite” online. The pictures blew us away and a plan began to form. We would have a trendy place for the girls to get ready and place for us to stay – but also an area where we could have a cocktail hour, seated dinner and dancing – all from the safety of one “hotel room” at an reasonable rate. The suite has a large formal dining room table big enough for 12 and a rooftop terrace with completely uninterrupted views of the monuments, as the name implies. The property is trendy and tastefully decorated with cool accents throughout – making for great wedding photos. Tactically, this monument suite seated dinner would be great for groups of 8-12 and even with larger gatherings, you could have many more people out on the terrace (in the ~30 people range).

Despite living blocks away, we had never ventured inside the LINE and realize now that is truly a DC gem hidden in plain sight. We will be back, perhaps for a staycation or hosting an anniversary party, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Weddings aside, I would highly recommend the LINE to anyone who wants to get a taste of authentic DC outside of just the usual tourist hotspots.

I live about 10 minutes away from The Line and had to stay for 3 nights recently due to apartment construction. They were extremely accomodating with my changing schedule and requests for early check-in and late check-out times. I was also given an upgraded room and a "neighbor discount" for staying locally! The front desk staff was all very kind and helpful throughout my stay.

The room was quiet and made for a great teleworking space as well.

I also brought my dog with me and they had special little perks for her, including a dog bed and bowls brought up to our room. She was more than happy to get a treat from staff every time we walked through the lobby too! No additional pet fee was much appreciated.

All staff and customers were wearing masks, and hand sanitizing stations were located at every door and elevator.

Rooms are bright and nicely furnished as shown on the website. Lots of outlets and a master power on-off switch, which is great for energy saving. Our second visit in 18 months and we were warmly welcomed as repeat guests. Beds were very comfortable. Linens and towels were very nice.

Lots of restaurants on 18th, which is around the corner and a Safeway market across the street making the location very convenient. The closest Metro station is about a 15 minute walk away.

Robes were provided and there were two closets, one with shelves. As with many other hotels, there was only one chair in the room.

Lobby is bustling including a restaurant and bar at all times. There is a side entrance which is quiet and avoids the many steep steps to enter.

We were so pleased with our stay at the Line D.C.

Check in was quick and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was stunning and the beds were so comfy, just what we needed after a long cold day of walking! Staff helped us out with printing of tickets for tours we had to rearrange. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Everyone from the front desk, the bar and the cleaning staff were always friendly and smiling.

We didn’t get the chance to eat here but the food looked amazing and the bar/reception was always buzzing throughout the day and the night! Such a lovely atmosphere to walk into.

The coffee shop by the door was also perfect to grab a coffee/tea from on our way out in the morning. The nearest metro for us was about 10-15 minute walk however this took us to all of the attractions we wanted to visit and we didn’t mind the walk.

Would 100% recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere where you want to relax and feel comfortable after a day of exploring this amazing city.

We spent 5 glorious nights at The Line Hotel, DC. We arrived on opening day 7/1/20 to find it super clean and with a high emphasis on safety in place. We instantly felt safer. Our room was beautiful. Large windows, impeccable views and spotless. Sam, the manager is outstanding. His obvious training in luxury management was evident. He made us feel like royalty and was attentive to not only our family but to all the other guests as we witnessed throughout our stay. We brought our 3 children and dogs. The hotel is dog friendly and the team were not only very sweet to our Children; they were amazing to our pets. We celebrated a birthday and they hotel was kind enough to add many many surprises to not only make the day and stay special but it truly was one of the best in hospitality we had ever experienced. The first evening they ordered a special dinner for us to meet our dietary needs. Just outstanding. The rooftop is a sight to behold. The gym is perfect and has every equipment you may need. The team are all beyond exceptional, friendly, informed, providing the utmost in customer service. The hotel is an old church restored and upgraded and it is phenomenal. Rich with history, The attention to detail throughout the property is astounding. No corner or crevice ignored. This is easily the most homelike high end hotel in DC. The Adams morgan neighborhood was great, safe and walking distance to everything. I could go on and on but I will just end by saying if you are looking for a luxurious, well maintained, safe, pet friendly property with the best views of DC central to everything you may need or want, look no further. This hotel checks all those boxes and offer so much more. Security Is great; the 7th floor suite will leave you breathless. The rooftop is filled with many instagram perfect areas And staged very stylishly: the entire team are a class act and we are customers for life. If you are visiting DC or locals looking for an escape.... look no further- this is without doubt the place to be!

My son and I stayed here as part of a family gathering and picked the hotel because of its proximity to our family’s get together. We absolutely loved the hotel and would wholly come back here.

It was my son’s first time ever visiting Washington DC and the hotel graciously gave him a cookie at check in along with a bottle of their water. He was so happy and the cookie was delicious.

The rooms are boutique-like with upper tier amenities and comfortable furnishings. The bed was soft, shower water was hot, and daily housekeeping did a phenomenal job.

As others have mentioned, theirs a pay as you go breakfast option in the lobby that was about on par with what you’d spend at a local restaurant in the area and the food quality was good (I.e $6 for a medium latte and $12-14 for a breakfast sandwich). The staff was all supremely nice and accommodating.

The only downside to the hotel itself was on the Friday night we were there, there was super loud music, which kept my son and I up until about 100am, followed by the drunk guests hollering in the halls on their way back to their rooms.

The hotel is safe. There’s a small park where the local addicts hang out, but it didn’t detract from the hotel and is common to DC these days.

Overall, we would happily stay here again and definitely would recommend it.

I was a little skeptical about staying somewhere new in the city. I usually stay in Georgetown, but my kids recently moved to the Petworth area, and this hotel was the closer. All I can say is WOW! It is very retro, yet chic and the entire staff is warm and they go out of their way to be kind. The rooms are spacious, we has a corner room, and it was extremely clean! We were told rooms sit vacant for 48 hours after each guest departs the hotel before housekeeping goes in and sanitizes everything! Talk about safety protocols! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Love that it is a repurposed church and they use the hymnal boards for signage and the pews as hallway seating. Can’t wait to come back!
