Wonderful modern hotel with great views of the island. Fantastic welcome and we were upgraded (out of season) and had a perfect time here, and would definitely return if we could. Good parking close by.

Highly recommend. We booked a room with two twin beds and a room with a double bed. Each room had a balcony (and a clothesline that was brilliant for a long stay.) Breakfast was very nice (let the desk know the night before.) The rocky beach across the road was perfect with free lounge chairs, tables and chairs and the ability to order food and drinks. Convenient to bakeries, markets, castle, great restaurants. Beautiful stay catered to by a kind and attentive family business!

If you are happy not to stay on the Kastro, this hotel is a great choice. A stone's throw from beach, with stunning views of the sea from the balcony. Large clean room. Very friendly staff who most informative.

What a great find. Situated 50 metres from the shuttle bus stop on the causeway to the castle, it has a great location. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Sea view rooms have a panoramic view of the rock. Service was excellent. The lady at reception was very friendly at all times, give great advice on how to visit the castle and was a credit to the hotel. All Covid 19 measures taken and without fuss. The breakfast was outstanding and well worth the money

Absolutely amazing staff at the Filoxenia - plenty of knowledge of where to go, what do do, and where to eat - nothing was a problem. Good sized room - very clean, along with the bathroom, and amazing views from the balcony to 'The Rock' of Monemvasia. Plenty of parking right outside, beach just across the road, and easy walking distance to tavernas for meals. Also easy walking distance to Monemvasia village and the climb to the top. Breakfast was excellent (served next door for 6 euros each) and good value. Would have no hesitation recommending the Filoxenia, and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here 2 nights, while travelling around the stunning Peloponnesus. The hotel is right on the water, walk cross the street and swim. There is a great taverna opposite, with plenty others to choose from in the town. Rooms are clean, and spacious, the view is great, but it’s best asset is the staff who go out of their way to provide the advertised ‘Filoxenia’, Greek hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, a lovely hotel in a stunning town.

We really liked the hotel. We got an inexpensive room which was very clean and well equipped. The balcony was quite small but okay for the price and we had superb view of the rock. The hotel generally is very well presented, I loved the floor in the reception area, paved with beautiful, caramel coloured, natural onynx. The staff were friendly and the chamber ladies did a great job of keeping the rooms fresh and tidy. There is no restaurant or breakfast provided in the hotel itself, however they have an arrangement with the cafe next door who provide a decent buffer breakfast for the reasonable price of six euros per head.

This place is just across the street from the beach, there is a cafe downstairs and the staff are very friendly and got us everything we needed, including a coffee maker. The price was excellent as we just walked in last minute.

Placed in the best position, with spectacular view on Monemvasia island and beach, 5mt prom the shore, you can arrive, park your car and have a bath all in 5min, in the space of 10mt. Rooms al classical, large, very quiet because the street in front of the sea is not busy. Staff is very kind, breakfast is an extra fee, but there's a lot of bars and bakery shops, as restaurants and Monemvasia bus starting point. It's really the best choice if you don't want to sleep inside the castle, but you are looking for an easy and very near accommodation
