Situated in the "rooi duine" area in SE Namibia only about 45 kms from the Kgalagadi's Mata Mata Gate. Two very neat chalets and wilderness camping on the edge of the Auoub River bed. Good location from which to explore the 'rooi duine' region. Game viewing, hiking and 4x4 tracks.

When planning a 3 week camping safari through 3 countries, one thing I like to know ahead of time is where I am spending the night! Hanli was always reachable via e-mail in confirming accommodation, making plans and happy to keep me in the loop.
The campsite runs smoothly on solar panels for light in the shower and loos – which are flush.
Camp ground is big ans flat with clean, fresh drinking water, washbasin with stand and fireplace.
They can supply meat and firewood if you wish.
They have a bit of game on the property – oryx, giraffe etc.
It was an easy drive from Mata Mata to Terra Rouge on a good dirt road.

This was one out of the box!! The cottage was lovely and Hanli could not do enough for us.....including a big bottle of fresh farm milk. We stayed two nights and enjoyed a drive through the farm and the lovely starry nights. Recommend! We will be back for longer ;)

There are 2 air conditioned cottages ( which were horse stables in the past) on the farm as well as camping sites.
One bungalow can accommodate 2 and the other 4 people.
All what you require for your stay is supplied although you are 100 km from the nearest town, you must be prepared.
Fire wood and meat can be bought from the owners, which are very kind and friendly.

Our hosts were warm and friendly. Neat campsite. Quaint outdoor showers with very effective donkey with enough wood to have lovely warm showers under the stars.

We will go out of our way to stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm with us.

This working farm in the Red Dune Kalahari, conveniently close to the Kgalagadi Transrontier Park, is the perfect stop over on you way to or from KTP. We stayed one night in the chalet,on our way from Namibia to Mata Mata, but could easily have stayed longer. Our hosts,Hanli and Pieter, were so friendy,it felt like we were old friends coming to visit. Pieter took us to a nearby sanddune to experinece the spectacular sunset. I will definitely recommend a stay at Terra Rouge to friends and family.

This 25,000 hectare sheep farm is far from civilization. At the gates of the Kalahari Transfrontier National Park.
There are 3 chalets available or a campsite. We stayed in the chalets.
Extremely friendly welcome from the owner. The whole family was there. The landlady cooked us the finest food. We received a lot of information about a farmer's life in this semi-desert. We would have loved to stay longer.
Great hospitality.
