I couldn't have asked for more here and will return in due course. I loved the design and style throughout the hotel, and marvelled at its location, being on the quieter side of the Danube. I stayed in different rooms across two trips, one with a castle view, the other overlooking the river. The former was absolutely fine; the latter, however, was quite something, especially at night when everything was lit up. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance and the main shopping area isn't far; the main bus tours stop almost right outside too. Reception were helpful and efficient. The place was clean and in great condition. I'd implore anyone to visit beautiful Budapest and highly recommend Lanchid 19 for a comfortable stay.
Picked this hotel as part of a Teletext holiday (£135 for 2 nights B&B including flights!!) and was very pleased with room and location. We had a castle view room that was totally quiet though a river view would have been nice but as we spent most time sleeping it didn't really matter! Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and various hot & cold meats. (Juice and coffee were superb) Receptionist Barbara was also extremely helpful as were her collegues. This was perfect for a short break and will not dissapoint.
I don't know why anyone bothers to stay on the Pest side. This hotel is on the Buda side and is closer to great baths, castle hill, and the chain bridge. We LOVED our view. We splurged for a river view room and it was well worth the money. We were on a high floor which ensured we had the best views. We will absolutely return to this hotel the next time we are in Budapest. The room size was perfect for the two of us. The bed was firmer than we'd prefer but that is really my only complaint about the room. The outlets were located in convenient places, and the shower/tub combo was just fine. Housekeeping was great and gave extra towels when we requested them, and the front desk was very helpful in booking taxis when we asked for it.
We 've find this pub in a luck during our trip in Budapest. Absolutely recommended-any time!!!! Superb pub with superb waiters with superb drinks and food. All the staff have been very prompt and kind. Hope will come back again
The rooms are too basic to merit a 4* rating especially the bathrooms with no tiles on walls even the shower cubicle was just a concrete wall painted. The reception staff where very good but you could not get a late drink in the bar at night although it was an open area across from the reception.I have stayed in many 4* hotels but this should on be 3* at best overpriced for what it is .
