The location of this hotel is perfect & it is worth the long drive from the airport, & it’s great if you want to do a zip line, and/or visit the underground caves. The reception area is a nice setting & staff are incredibly helpful & polite. The grounds surrounding the cottages are kept immaculate, although some areas could do with a good tidy up, just seems to be a lot of junk laying around. I only ate breakfast here & it was very nice & they do their utmost to accommodate you with any requests you may have. When you first enter your cottage, you will probably think, it’s great, but on closer inspection, it is very tired, & desperately needs renovating, the furnishing are very old, the shutters & windows are not secure, however the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is not very nice at all, the towels are worn & grey, shower has a shower curtain, which was not very clean & they do hold a lot of germs. I would have expected that type of bathroom in a backpacking accommodation, I expected more, considering what you pay to stay here. I think the location sells this place, & the location setting is perfect. The drinks are extortionate & they add an extra tax on drinks as well, so the price you see is not the price you pay ( it does say it at the bottom of the drinks menu) but not many people notice it. So for the sake of walking approx 50-100 yards, where the drinks are less then half that, I would. But that is up to the individual, I spend a lot on travelling, but I also like to save a lot on travelling. The A/C was not working in the gym & I reported it everyday & everyday I was told they would put a different A/C unit in there & they never did, I like to train when I’m away, firstly it is a nice feel good factor & it’s a big part of my job, so I have to keep fit & it was one of the reasons I choose this accommodation. For all my negatives which may have been addressed by now, owing to COVID19 & the hotel being closed. I would still return, but I would try & get a good deal. Stay safe all you travellers

There are only 2 options on this beach and this is the better one. The rooms are lovely and clean with hot water and yo can hear the waves. It is a great beach for swimming and the hotel keeps it tidy. We found the staff very helpful and although a little pricier than trying to organise it yourself they were very helpful in organisinng a trip to the cave and transport to and from the resort. Unfortunately the food, and the restaurant service let them down. We should have looked at the other options further down the road, fish of the day was salmon flown in from Norway. Such a shame when the sea is just there. The only other thing was there was some big groups here and they were partying on late into the evening (well after midnight). We asked security to ask the guest to be quiet and they said there was nothing that they could do about it. This went on for both nights of our stay.

We stayed for one night only after travelling from Peurto Princessa. The primary tourist attraction at Sabang is the underground caves which is a must for any visitor. Check-in was pleasant and easy with a nice drink provided. The environment is lovely. We had a premium 1st floor room directly looking onto the very nice beach. The room was very good. A nice, large, comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. The room had a ceiling fan and good aircon. The hotel does have a gym although this looks dusty and not used, There is only a single running machine and no crosstrainers although there are body shaping machines and weights. I would think really though that for the size of the hotel complex that there should at least 2 running machines and 2 crosstrainers to be serious about having a gym. The beach / garden layout of the hotel complex is very pleasant witha good pool and beach services. It is a short walk alongside the beach to the small centre of Sabang where more services can be found and the underground river trips start from. Some interesting small restaurants can be found alongside the beach. Some problems though: 1 - We were told on check-in that at the moment there was a happy hour type two for one offer on drinks at the pool bar so after check-in we headed there to cool off. Checking with the single bar staff who was manning the pool bar, he knew nothing about the offer so we sat there and swam around whilst he made numerous phone calls. In the end he told us, yes, we were right, it was two for one at the moment but only on cocktails so we ordered two cocktails from the list of about 8. The cocktail prices were the most expensive we had seen in our Philippines trip so far, about 425php from what I can remember, but at two for one and jaded from the excursion/travelling that day we decided to go for it and and gave our room number. These took ages to appear. We could see a "supervisor" had arrived and there was some discussion. We were waved back to the bar and told that the cocktails we chose were not available. Only two more simple ones were that were at the bottom of the list. Ok, not what we wanted but we went for those at two for one. These finally came and were pretty average with it seemed little alcohol content. Quite some time later as we were about to leave the "supervisor" came over to our sunbeds with a bill for over 900php. My wife queried it as shouldn't it have been about 450php with the two for one? No, the offer now was not "Two for one" it seemed but "Buy two get one free". Mmmm....although we weren't offered the 3rd cocktail at any time. Had we orginally misheard? We both thought not as the two things sound very different. So we had to order another cocktail for free that we did not want and wait longer to drink it before leaving the pool area. we were both not impressed with this whole episode. 2 - Asked at reception about transport options to our destination the next day which was El Nido. Was told that the only option was to hire a personal transport just for us at 8,000php. Was there no shared transport option available between destinations? No. Did my own digging after looking at adverts near the hotel where many showed shared transport was available at 800php per person. My phone signal from here was not good and internet not great so had problems contacting the transport providers. Tried to use the in room phone for a local line but you can't as they do not support any type of dial out. Went back to reception to see if they can assist. This time the girl at reception took pity on me and helped me arrange it instantly, as they did actually know this service existed and they did know the correct numbers to ring. Now I know, there is actually a transport office just behind the underground river booking office in a little string of shops and offices that you can walk to and arrange this yourself. Why was this all made so hard? 3 - Of all the places on our trip that my wife could have left her new Samsung pad in the room after checkout, it was at this place :( I emailed the Daluyon later when we got to El Nido to see if they had found it. They had! Great! We were going to be in El Nido for 3 nights before getting the ferry across to Coron. Is there some way they could send it to our Hotel in El Nido? Happy to pay any reasonable costs. I provided full hotel details and room number in the emails and our itenerary. Then things started to get strange although I accept this problem was made by us originally. They could send it to our hotel in El Nido if I was willing to pay for a full private transport for the bus, driver and pad. What?!! Ok, the other option suggested was for us to have it delivered to Puerto Princessa Airport when we left Palawan. But I had already said we weren't coming back down that way but taking the ferry from El Nido to Coron so this was a nonsense idea. Any others? During this time of course with emails going back and forward we were trying to enjoy trips around El Nido and our internet and phone was bad and the days were ticking by.... The next email we got on returning from a trip around 4pm was a relief. The Daluyon had a driver leaving for El Nido at 12 noon that day and they would give it to him. Phew! My wife was so happy but reading the mail further it said "what is your hotel details?" but on this same email, if you just scrolled down further, the entire details they needed were there to read on their own email thread. On emailing back to thank them for sending it, they said that they had NOT given it to the driver as we had not replied in time with the El Nido hotel details which they actually had and were on the email that they replied back with!!! Words fail me!! In the end we solved it ourselves as we now only had one day left before leaving Palawan. My wife was getting pretty upset. We went to our reception at the El Nido beach hotel for advice. They calmly and instantly arranged for the pad to be picked up from the Daluyon and delivered to El Nido for a cost of 600php for the courier and we gave them a 200php tip for being so great. Simple!

We loved our experience here. We looked at The Sheridan first and so happy we chose here. Right on the beach. You could hear the waves at night. Aircon was super or you could open up all the front to the sea breeze and an outstanding view. Bed was large and comfortable and the room was big and well planned. The food was ok with buffet breakfast on weekends. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful.

Nestled in the corner of a beautiful stretch of beach is Daluyon. Not exactly easy to get to, however worth every mile of a windy 1.5 hours drive through the rural Palawan mountain side. If you are looking for a private yet natural and native Philippine experience, this is the place. If you are looking for a modern and more western hotel/resort experience, then find something else. From start to finish the Daluyon staff caters to your every request to make your stay as pleasurable as ever. When we requested a top floor Deluxe room and none was available upon early arrival, the front desk made every effort to clean a top floor room quickly for me and my family. The room had 1 King bed and 1 pullout, and we requested 1 rollaway bed for my daughter. The King bed was comfortable, but the rollaway more on the firm side. There was small flat screen, hot water pot, and small fridge with plenty of space. Our fan did not work, but you can open windows to let the sea breeze in or close it to keep the cooler air conditioner air inside. The best reason to request a top floor is that it includes a spacious balcony facing the ocean. It a great place to sit and relax and just enjoy the ocean view. The resort has a spacious pool that is shallow and up to 6.5 feet deep, and has a bar that you can swim for drinks. If you prefer the beach, it’s but 50 feet away from your room, and includes plenty of beach beds to choose from. I did not see any waiters on the beach, but you can order drinks at the bar and have them bring it to you (just don’t forget to tip!). You can also rent beach activity equipment like paddle boards, biggie boards, and surf boards. There is under current so if you are not a strong swimmer, don’t go too far...you can also walk to the far right of the beach towards the rocks for calmer waters within a small size cove. WiFi is available throughout the resort, but the further you go away from the front desk the spottier the signal. If you are by the pool, then you shouldn’t have any problems. Breakfast at the restaurant is Filipino style and very good - fried rice, tapa, and fried egg, etc. Coffee is good and the juices can be mixed depending on the day. We ended up eating dinner outside the restaurant where there are plenty of native style places to chose from (just be aware that more dogs roam the streets later in the evening). The main reason to stay here is the distance to the Underground River tour (which you cannot miss!). The pier to catch the boat is a 10-15 minute walk on the beach where you will find plenty of “banka” boats to take you. The boat ride is about 10-15 mins from the pier, and when you get there, your guided tour through the caves is another 30-45 mins. Let Daluyon handle the reservations for you so you can have more relaxation time. Overall our stay was a great experience which my family and I enjoyed. I would definitely recommend and stay at Daluyon again (most especially if you are going to Palawan for the Underground River tour).
