#1 of 4 B&Bs / Inns in Felitto
The B&B "Al Vicolo del Cilento" - "Cilento Alley" is located in the heart of Felitto's Historical centre (SA), in Cilento National Park, near "Chiesa dell'Assunta" (Church of the Assumption) or "Chiesa Madre" (Mother Church), with the bell tower above, about 40 meters high, born from the miracle of architectural boldness emerging from a rock. The B&B has a panoramic view of the entire valley of the Calore river, each room provided with a balcony, from which you can admire a magical view. Our comfortable and gracefully decorated residence overlooks the entire valley, and from the balconies you can admire breathtaking views. Relax in the peace and quiet, immerse yourself in nature, and enjoy the beautiful village of Felitto, an ancient historical center. We have a professional kitchen and as well as a common area for breakfast and reception. The rooms are gracefully furnished, each with en-suite (private bath), heating and air conditioning, internet access, Wi-Fi, telephone and TV. Enjoy your vacation in absolute relaxation, away from the background noise of the city, immersing yourself into the past in the medieval narrow streets of the village with the typical smells of the Italian cooking rich with tradition and the flavours of the past. Visit the Calore canyon, a famous International attraction for passionate and professional Trekkers (hikers and climbers). Dive into the Calore river, float down in a canoe and, for the bravest, in a kayak, where the difficulty level is the highest in Italy. Also, the bravest venture the exciting new sport of canyoning (river body surfing), and this is the ideal place to practice the courage and dare-devil mentality that this activity demands. Everywhere there are endless walks, bike paths, and, for Mountain Bike lovers, there is the opportunity to discover new, steep mountain paths that burst into the magical nature of Cilento National Park. Situated in the heart of Cilento's National Park, we are close to the famous "Paestum Temples", the ancient city of Agropoli, the nearby Caves of Castelcivita, the abandoned old village of Roscigno, the natural area of Cervati Mountain, the famous Charterhouse of Padula and for shopping lovers (why not?), the new and wonderful Shopping Center "Outlet of Cilento". Then in the evening return to the green hills of Calore Valley.

My husband and I visited Felitto during our trip to Italy in May this year. The intention was to spend half day in the city, just to know the place where my grandfather was born… however it become a 2 day stay in this amazing village… Definitely I fallen in love by Felitto, the experience there was terrific and our stay in Al Vicolo del Cilent was a very nice surprise. This B&B hotel is a chaming, cozy and well located place in the historical center, which allowed us to walk around by the small streets form the prior century ! The hotel is new and well decorated, our room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the montains and valleys. Excellent breakfast and Italian coffee (kindly offered as courtesy by Alessandro after our tours). Alessandro (the owner) was a fantastic host, making us feel at home. Besides all the touristic information he gave us like tips about the place, restaurants, trails, he also helped me to find out my grandfather documentation, which was an indescribable experience in my life… Definitely I will be back to Felitto and Al Vicolo del Cilento will be my home there again !

Spent 2 amazing days and nights at Vicolo del Cilento last week. The host, Alessandro, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay - allowed us to check in early, arranged several restaurant bookings for us (including Osteria La Piazzetta in a nearby village which served genuinely excellent food), drove to pick us up when we were caught hiking in a storm, and arranged for a wine tasting session at a nearby local vineyard. Alessandro was very passionate about his hometown, and his enthusiasm really added something special to our stay. The village was charming and the locals friendly. There was plenty to do in the surrounding areas - we did hiking, swimming at the nearby waterfall, kayaking and wine tasting. Couldn't recommend a visit here more!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in Felitto. Very friendly welcome at the B&B. Everything was closed. The owner made some calls, and the restaurant opened especially for us. The village is gorgeous, the river enchanting. Quite simply a very nice place to visit and to discover the Cilento beyond the seaside

Our stay was perfect. The room was large, comfortable, air-conditioned, and spotlessly clean. The hosts we warm and friendly, and Sandro, whose English is excellent, went far above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to orient us to the little town. Felitto is a tiny little medieval jewel, wonderfully intact in the centro, and situated on a spectacular ridge above the Gole del Calore to the south and with gorgeous views of the Alburni Mountains to the north. Perfect for trekkers, nature lovers, and those who long for the essence of Italy, either quickly disappearing or unaffordable in so many other regions.

Allesandro is an excellent host. He is very knowledgeable about the area and helps out with everything. The kids loved to swim and kajack in the nearby waterfall/river/stream. The trail down to the river was really nice. If you want a unique rural experience, nice food, an Italian village far away from any tourist trap - visit Felitto and and stay at Al Vicolo del Cliento.
