My husband, two boys and I were thoroughly charmed by the hilltop borgo of Felitto. We could hike right from the B&b on a trail to the river. The hiking was lovely even in November, our hosts were kind and helpful and by boys loved the cats. Great weekend getaway!

I stayed here in August and it was a great relief to get away from the heat along the coast and retreat to the mountains. This place has great vistas, a friendly helpful host, and a nice clean hospitable atmosphere to get away for a few days. The small town has amazing cheap italian food and beautiful hikes along the river gorge. Highly recommended!

In July I arrived with two friends in this beautiful place. Just arrived, we had a feeling of calm and relax, to be totally in peace with nature ... it was the last stop of our road tour around in Cilento and I have to say that the B & B and the town of Felitto, was the best of our trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, had a garden terrace from which you can enjoy the view of mountains, perfect for breakfast in the morning and in the evening to have an aperitivo watching the sunset. The breakfast was very plentiful, we especially enjoyed the fig jam. Felitto is precious, an undiscovered gem. The next day we went trekking and kayaking in the gorges of the river Calore, the cleanest river in Europe, magnificent! I have to say much better than the crowded beaches of Cilento. Finally I want to highlight the magnificent reception of Ermelando, the owner of the B&B. We got the picked up, he explained where to go trekking and eat well ... the last night we were at chicken festival and we has so much fun. I would say that "il rifugio del Calore" totally reflects its name, it is an oasis where you can feel pampered, relax and feel at peace with nature, good for the body and the soul... we will definitely go back!

My husband (a felittesi descendant) and I spent 4 nights at Il Rifugio del Calore so that we could wander the village where his grandfather was born. What a wonderful visit! Cousins had visited there last fall, so we already knew that everything was lovely. Our own visit continues to warm our hearts. Ermelando is an excellent host, and he helped us make valuable connections with locals who love their village! My limited Italian language skills were assisted by Ermelando's patience and usage of simple words. For those who want a genuine Italian experience, I highly recommend Felitto and Ermeland's Il Rifugio del Calore! Grazie a Ermelando per un viaggio molto buono!

We arrived from the East, the B& B was easy to find as it was just after the 2nd switchback as we climbed into the village .We were welcomed immediately by Enzo , He made use feel at home right away. In fact we were coming Home . Our Grandfather Came from Felitto Many years ago and after explaining our family tree to Enzo he made some phone calls and turned our visit into a family reunion. We should have learned more Italian ,but we struggled through with much patience on the part of everyone in Felitto. (my google translator was invaluable . ) The recommended restaurant L'Occhiano was so special, both the food and the owners. Enzo made reservations and joined us for dinner. The next morning we enjoyed the beautiful view , Espresso we brewed ourselves and Fig marmalade and biscotti. We toured the Village with Enzo and then were introduced to our 2nd Cousins. Wow! (Above and beyond anything we expected!!). The B&B was Exactly as the name says. We had spent 8 days in lovely but touristy areas of Rome and Sorrento and this was a refuge. Quite and beautiful, it was the first time we were able to take a nap and soak it all in. The rooms were great. the little kitchenette outside was just right . This is great spot to explore the area from. We Hope to come back in next couple of years during one of the festivals . Grazie Enzo!!! Felitto is in our hearts now.
