The room was nice bed was comfortable the staff were very nice and helpful the property was nice off the road was on bottom floor of the 2 story bldg when the people on 2nd floor walk around it is loud there is no a/c in alot of the rooms the fan they provide is to small to help cool the room or you but is still nice when construction remodeling of the rooms finishes it will be really nice a bit noisy by the room they remodel because the window is open for the coolness am willing to stay again but will get a room facing the road there remodeled already
This little hotel was nestled in really tall, mature pine trees. It was clean, remodeled and cozy. Be aware that the mattresses are on the firm side. The price point was great and we would stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay here at the Timberlodge for two nights. Very attentive and personable service. So good to find owner-run establishments. They care! The room was simple but very adequate. Some Pinetop lodges try to maintain an old woodsy feel that is just "old". Timberlodge has a fresher feel to it.
Timber Lodge in Pinetop, AZ is amazing! My Mom, my husband, our Frenchie (yup, pet friendly!), and I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and everything was fantastic! Queen bed and double bed with plenty of room to move around and gorgeous decor, plus a little deck right outside our door. With 4 available networks for Wifi and some of the most comfortable sheets we've experienced in a hotel in quite some time, we settled right in. Even Deebo, our Frenchie, had a great time exploring the grounds, and the convenient 'pick up after your pet' dispensers make the walks more about adventure rather than "Did I remember to bring..?" Melissa in the front office was great, making sure we had our room key available in the lock box for our 'not how we planned this trip' late arrival. This location is perfect for sightseeing, restaurants, and local shops. We have a home in Pinetop and have never stayed at a hotel in the area, but we were having work done on the house and it wasn't completed on our schedule. Since we had already planned the trip up, happenstance brought us to this charming location. If we ever need to make alternate accomodations in the Pinetop area, we will DEFINITELY return to Timber Lodge and we highly recommend you check them out! Everyone and everything is small town charm and the heart of customer service! Thank you, Melissa and the entire staff, you guys helped us make the best of an otherwise 'meh' situation!
We stayed here in August. We had not been back to this hotel since the '90s due to a really bad customer service experience. The new management is nothing like the old; they try to be accessible and provide help when needed. Positives: spacious room, wet bar area, table and chairs on the porch, clean. Staff was helpful, friendly. Snacks in the lobby. Good location. Dog friendly! Negatives: we were told the beds are new from March but they must have bought inexpensive ones; I had to keep tossing/turning to keep my hips from hurting. No curtain on the high window to keep the morning sun from waking us up; it's not a privacy issue as the building next door is only a few feet away and there were no windows on it. There were cute decorations (vase, lamps) but no hooks in the bathroom; I wish their reno money was spent on more functional items than cute vases. The bathroom barn door is a nice touch but the regular door to the toilet/bathtub did not close. It seemed to be more than just the weather (I'm from AZ). There were only a few other guests, so parking was not an issue, otherwise it would have been. Because they built a raised porch, it cut out several parking areas. Two vehicles could have parked in the spot, as it seems was intended, but then I'm not sure they could have opened their doors.
I think they should stay overnight in one of their rooms, just as if they were a traveling guest, so that they could see the parts of the room that don't work. Because they really seem to be putting a lot of effort into revamping and updating the hotel.
