Detailed Reviews
This hotel is in a fantastic location and its got a nice pool and the rooms are a good size and layout. The bed in our room was very hard and i question the cleanliness as our bathroom had a lot of grime built up in the shower.
The best thing is the location and the worse thing is the cleaning staff, they open the doors to rooms while they clean and they yell when they talk and they don't stop talking/yelling for hours each day. They talk even louder if one is vacumming and the banging of plates and things is just not necessary. Unfortunately because of the layout of the hotel you can hear everything.
To top our stay off they walked straight in to our room without knocking and laughed and ran away when they saw us.
Great place for many reasons but cleaning staff are out of control and are letting this place down.

I booked Eden by the Bay a couple of months ago for a trip to celebrate our anniversary. I originally booked a 1 bedroom, queen bed as the place was nearly full when I booked. Awesome suprise with Kate, the manager upgrading us to a 1 bedroom Apartment when I phoned to confirm booking when she found our we were celebrating a wedding anniversary😊
We loved our stay, the accommodation is situated in an ideal location on the esplanade, walking distance to cafes, restaurants which was awesome. The beach is amazing and is just across the esplanade from the accommodation and we really enjoyed swimming, perfect location.
The 1 bedroom apartment was on the ground floor which was great for access. The room was clean and tidy and comfortable with nice kitchen amenities. The bathroom was tidy and spacious.
The room had a small balcony which was nice and viewed the pool area. We didn’t notice any excessive noise from people using the pool. The pool area was clean and tidy and workers regularly clean the area of leaves etc early in the morning which was nice.
Liked the parking area for guests as it is spacious and located behind the accommodation and each guest has there own assigned parking spot.
We loved our stay and will stay there again.
I would highly recommend Eden by the Bay for its location, beach access, close to cafes and central to other Hervey Bay attractions.

I stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was amazing! The apartment was huge and had all the amenities you needed including free bottles of water, a huge bath and washing and drying facilities. There was also a large selection of channels on the TV. The balcony overlooking the pool was amazing. The pool area was clean and well looked after, as was the apartment. The location is also perfect and right opposite the beach. Great value for money and would stay again!

We stayed at Eden on the Bay on a Saturday and were disappointed by the facilities and staff member.
When trying to find our room at 4:30 in the afternoon, we were told to quieten down by the night manager. We weren’t shouting or behaving inappropriately, we were laughing, at 4:30pm on a Saturday. The night manager didn’t greet us or offer us assistance, merely made us feel uncomfortable about laughing “loudly” at 4:30 in the afternoon. Then she disappeared while we spent half an hour lugging our bags around trying to find our room. The place was like a maze with no signs or staff to assist us at 4:30 in the afternoon. I eventually asked a guest in the spa if he knew how to get to “the rooms up there”.
The place had some very strange rules, like guests not being allowed on their balconies after 10 pm.
The shower was an unpleasant dribble and the view from our bedroom was a balcony with someone else’s bikes and stuff on it.
The location on the esplanade was the only good thing about this place. Lucky we went with friends who could laugh at how ridiculous the situation was. I’d hate to think someone visited the beautiful Hervey Bay and the disappointment of this place was all they could remember.

Response from Eden Reception, Owner at Eden By The Bay
Responded 26 Oct 2021
Dear 458shannaw, Thank you for your feedback. For after hour arrivals there is a map of the resort / carpark that shows how to get to your room, arrival letter, instructions, and room token in the night safe for you. There are signs pointing to all the room directions and numbers around the resort. Unfortunately, your group weren’t using the token to operate the lift which is why it wasn’t working for the seven ladies inside. The onsite manager assisted you and showed you where the instructions were on the wall on how to operate the lift and explained how to use it. No one said they were lost, or assistance would have happily been given. Guests can also dial the onsite manager from reception if they are unable to find their room. Upon your arrival at 5.30pm your group had been making loud noise which could be heard in rooms and other areas of the resort hence why the onsite manager came to see what was going on and assisted you with the lift We ask guests to please move in from their balcony at 10pm as neighbouring bedrooms are adjacent to the balconies. No shower issue was reported, nor have any other guests mentioned this to staff.

Was greeted on arrival.
By you man at reception told where park are car and what number was are space.
Show us how to get to the car park around the back of apartment’s showed us where to go to room.
Room was spotless
Pool was spotless
To be honest we couldn’t find anything wrong.
Was very impressed with location and after hours use on how to get in if no one was attending reception.
If we wherever here again would not hesitate to use again.
Many thanks to all the team who run Eden by the bay.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment. The units are well maintained and are very nice, however there were a few things that would make me not choose to return.
There is no dishwasher. Sounds insignificant, but we were there for 3 days and the plates started to pile up. Sorry, not washing by hand on a holiday - I don't do that at home!
The wifi wasn't set up with the units own secure SSID therefore we were unable to cast and watch our own Netflix and prime.
On the second night I had nor sleep as our toilet kept flushing itself - the cistern is leaking into the bowl constantly. It flushed 14 times between 12.30 am and 5 am when I got up as I couldn't sleep. We thought it was coming from upstairs but my partner discovered it was our toilet and we had to turn the water off to it which is quite inconvenient for when you do want to go to the loo! We couldn't advise management of it as no one was on reception the whole of Sunday.

I had the pleasure to stay at Eden on the Bay on the night of 20th August 2020.
Overall, a pleasant stay. Across from the beach, great eateries at your door step, bottle shop and pub (The Beach house) on the corner along with Enzos on the Beach being directly across the road.
Staff were friendly, so helpful and achieved an exceptional early check in. Thank you!
The hotel studio are small, and I mean small. Pleasant and clean but did I fail to mention, small.
The 2 bedroom apartments are amazing! I was fortunate enough to stay in one and OMG, huge and just amazing.
Car parking is first in best dressed however I didn’t have an issue.
This hotel is even more ideal if you don’t have a car and just need to be central to everything.
A fair walk to the big pier, 4.9kms one way. Great for ridding all that delish food.
Thank you for the stay.

We booked a double room which was basically a very basic small studio with a double bed.
We were only here for an afternoon/night and was our last stop on our 12 day road trip and were heading back to Brisbane.
The partial view of the ocean was limited. We basically had a view of the roof with all the air con units and other businesses.
It was ok for a quick stop over but nowhere i would ever recommend for a holiday. We’ll definitely not this small room. There wasn’t room to open both of our suitcases. One of us had to open it on the bed and then put it away again.

As a member of a group of 11 ladies staying for one night, I was very disappointed, angered even, by the tone of the female night manager upon our arrival at 5.00 pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were chastised extremely sharply for laughing spontaneously at several attempts to operate the lift with our tokens. Then, instead of assisting us with kindness and patience she chose to use a tone that demonstrated annoyance and disbelief that we were struggling to get the lift to move. “Did you even bother to read the instructions inside the lift?” Difficult when the lift walls are obscured by the occupants. The way we were approached set the tone for our stay. From that point on we were almost too terrified to smile let alone laugh. We didn’t mind being asked to lower our volume out of consideration for other patrons… we did however take exception to the superior attitude JM chose when she addressed us.
