We recently stayed at Bentleys for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived to the time we left it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The lovely owners and staff are friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem (even when I couldn’t put my coin in the laundry machine properly and accidentally broke a glass) the room service was the most amazing we have ever had on all our holidays, this motel is SPOTLESS and well maintained. The spa pool is an added treat which we well used over the 3 days. We intend to stay at Bentleys if we ever come back to Palmerston North. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful motor inn to everyone.

Lovely, comfortable and quiet rooms. Friendly service on arrival at motel. I had mistakenly booked the wrong type of rooms, and the lovely man at reception helped me, without hesitation, to change my booking. Great spa bath. Easy walking distance to town.

I highly recommend Bentley's. The rooms are very spacious and clean. They have a laundry, gym and squash court and we were very pleasantly surprised by all the facilities. We were only staying for one night as we were on the way to Wellington and visited family in 'Palmy!' Breakfast was delivered to our rooms and was delicious. Try this place. You won't be disappointed

Booked at Bentleys because the reviews were so good. Had the worst nights sleep. Website says quiet, it is not. Neighbours playing music till so late until we complained. Cars arriving in the car park after midnight, which woke us. Cars leaving at 6am which woke us. Cars driving past on the street woke us, you would think they would put the executive rooms further away from the road for quietness.
The skylight in the room seems a bit stupid, light flooded our room from the early hours which again woke us.
Ordered breakfast, after reviews said it was good. Eggs Benedict, overcooked rubbery eggs, with about a teaspoon of hollandaise sauce drizzled over. The hash browns were drowning in oil, couldn’t taste the potato over the oil.
Not impressed, we were supposed to stay two nights but left after one to stay elsewhere. If you want a good nights sleep, stay elsewhere.

Having stayed here last year in the executive room with spa pool we were eagerly anticipating another stay. We went out for dinner and after returning filled the spa. Upon turning on the jets there was a foul smell omitted like foul drains so unable to continue immediately got out very disappointed. The bed was of that cheap bounce type very hard underneath. Vertually no sleep we got up in the morning with sure lower back hips and shoulders. The place has definitely gone downhill. Executive rooms should have top quality beds at $185 a night- one of the more expensive nightly stays in the city. What was a very high standard room now is not so. The owners ( new) gave a weak smile when informed of the spa. Pathetic and in these days of Covid I would suggest totally cleaning the jets and drains for every room.

Comfortable bed, good linen and lots of clean fluffy towels provided. But the place feels tired and sad. Seems it was being used as 'mixed' accommodation i.e. Emergency Motel that's still open to the public when we stayed there. Had on odd feeling to it. We had a two bedroom apartment which was OK. Everything we needed was there but it was just sad and tired. The 'apartment' was dark, 'lifeless' and overpriced, and had a strong disinfectant smell throughout. The spa didn't work properly (spewed out water in places it shouldn't have). When we arrived the receptionist couldn't find our booking and was quite rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming. The advertising for Bentley's Motor Inn is overstated.

As a Head cleaner in 5 star accommodation in havelock north. I noticed upon check in the plug in bathroom sink broken, window slates in spa are broken also, may need replacing also. shower leaks out door and across floor towards toilet. Shower head needs replacing as water doesn't exit center of shower head so u get cold having shower. No little vegetable knife, bed very hard and uncomfortable please replace budget mattress protector,
Spa pool was amazing best thing in unit. Nice quiet corner unit. Close to town.

Stayed here for two nights and it would be the friendliest welcome I’ve experienced in a long time. Unit was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large, clean and supplied with soaps and shampoos. Quiet location but close to supermarket and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
