We stayed at the Oasis Caravan Park at Coober Pedy for 3 nights. It is a very convenient spot near the town. Please note though, not all sites have water to hook up to. We were just near the camp kitchen so we’re filling up buckets to use. The staff are very friendly, but check that you are charged the correct amount. They over-charged us and had to give us a refund. 20cents for the shower was a good idea as then people are more aware of water use.

What a let down! After reading the reviews here, we made the decision to book at oasis. I called 5 days beforehand to book, spoke to Shauna. Everything was booked in or so it seemed. On our way to coober pedy I thought I'd call through to book a tour with oasis and they were unable to find our site booking! Nothing they could do- they were fully booked out by then. The lady was very apologetic but that wasn't any good for us when we were only 2 hours away with nowhere to stay. We called the Big 4 and they shuffled things around to fit us in at short notice and so glad they did- it's a great park! On checking in we heard other travellers with the same issue at oasis. Would not recommend this park.

Admittedly it was only roughly a 12 hour stay. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We arrived at the powered site and it was best described as tight. That wasn't an issue for us as were swagging anyway. After a long day driving and dinner at a restaurant up the road - it would've been good to take a shower before bed. I then discovered that 20 CENT COINS were required to access hot water! Un-believable in todays day and age. I had no loose change and it was late - so I gave up and went to bed unwashed. Super early the next morning - rather than set up a jet boiler which I wasn't planning to use hence still had packed - I took a walk to the camp kitchen to use a stove top to make coffee. I then discovered that 20 CENT COINS were required to access a stove top. Again - unbelievable. Seriously Oasis Coober Pedy Tourist Park - just charge me a few bucks more at the counter and remove the 20 CENT MACHINE nonsense. In less than 12 hours you have alienated a regular traveller over restricting access to basic park facilities such as a stove top and shower by penny pinching. I wont be back under any circumstances while the machines are still there. So disappointing.

Given a lovely welcome by the woman in reception who went out of her way to ensure we could have a drive through site with water! Having visited Coober before we were just passing through and this was a lovely quiet park in which to stay. Amenities were spotless and though the entrance area is very congested there is a lovely open area for vans when one drives further through!

We stayed on a warm day in April. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Clean recently refurbished ammenities block. We had a shady site which was welcome in the heat. The local IGA is a short walk away.

Beautiful and peaceful caravan park with very nice & clean facilities. The owner and office lady could not do enough for us - nothing was too much trouble, fantastic customer service. Did a tour with George which was brilliant - highly recommend.

We had an unpowered camp site, close to the amenities block - great facilities, updated, always clean and fresh. Great outdoor kitchen area with appliances. We found the site a bit tight for our soft floor camper but the manager was more than accommodating with moving us to an alternative, larger site. Would stay here again.

So happy I chose this park, I had an unpowered site. Perfect, near amenities which where the cleanest and freshest I have seen in 7 weeks. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Definitely a great place for single person - very safe and secure. Thank you George, Mary and the team

WE really enjoyed our three night stay. Booked an undercover (shade cloth?) site that also had some trees at the rear. Easy walk into town. Lots to see and do and wish we had another night. Did the morning town tour with George who was most entertaining and also the afternoon sunset tour out into the desert and colourful Breakaways rock formations. Highly recommended. The amenities block was the cleanest we encountered in 10 weeks of touring! Showers cost us 40c a night. You need to understand the water and power situation of remote Cooper Pedy.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Katherine. The lady at reception was super helpful, told us about the amazing pizza place and tours that they run from the park. Very clean amenities. Love the undercover caravan parking.
