Stayed here after a week of travelling QLD. The staff were incredibly rude.. not just once.. multiple times. The rooms were below average and had cockroaches. Would definitely not recommend this place.

Really chill atmosphere at this hostel. I had a late night check in and this was arranged perfectly. Could jump into the shower, great night of sleep in the airconditioning. And a morning coffee in the chill benches at the hostel. Good if you want to chill for a day or two. Or just have a stop before you continue with your travels.

This hostel is quite big, with a well stocked, large and very clean kitchen and a good number of bathrooms. They also cook free pancakes in the morning which was lovely. However, it was incredibly quiet when I stayed with very few people there, but I think this is because Townsville itself is so quiet so is not the fault of the hostel. I would not bother staying in Townsville for any more than a day, but if you’re going to then this hostel is a good choice.

Good location, otherwise dated inside, noisy and as all backpackers - crammed rooms. I had some issues with wi-fi as it dropped off every now and again, apparently it was supposed to do that to avoid overuse. In overall OK, have stayed in better backpackers.
