We had a pleasant garden room, with a lovely patch of lawn and a Coral Tree, which attracted a myriad of bird life. The room also afforded a view of the beach. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, food was good, the beach is a short walk away, the slope to access the beach was fairly gentle.
Good rooms overlooking the bay. Excellent sea food dinner. Singing by the locals which was special. Fishing opportunity. Variety of entertainment for all ages. We did the wild coast meander trail. Such a good idea.
We had the self catering option and but still enjoyed three meals over three days at the hotel. Chef is really great and the food is delicious. Our self catering unit was at the back of the hotel, from the top terrace we had a great ocean view but nothing to sit on unfortunately to enjoy it. Our rooms were really comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Bathrooms were impeccable. But the kitchen space needs a bit of a revamp. utensils were old and overused and a bit on the cheap side. We didn't have anything to wash the dishes with like all other self catering places we explored along the coast. I didn't appreciate the aggressive tone which criminalizes anyone who breaks the locks on the cupboards and such! it gives off a bad vibe when you first enter the unit but maybe they…
Staff initially sullen, impatient and unfriendly. If you ask a waiter for something they point you in the direction to fetch it yourself. There is no "waiter service" I would put this on par with a fishermans Hotel. The whole feel of the hotel is plain grubby, the bathrooms and bedrooms are in great need of a revamp.
We did the Wild Coast Meander in April 2017 and this was the second hotel in which we stayed. The accommodation is clean, lovely views from the rooms and the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Access to the beach a few meters away and a sparkling pool to cool off. Best of all were the pre-dinner drinks on the deck with a spectacular view of the sunset. I would heartily recommend.
