This is your typical self catering resort accommodation. It isn’t spotless, but it is perfectly acceptable.
Pros - great friendly staff, daily fresh breads and pastries via reception, reasonable free WiFi, reasonable piste access, from ski locker approx 100 yards to a foot lift then 100 yards to piste, easy access to bars, shops, supermarkets, well stocked kitchen, 4 hobs, microwave/grill dishwasher.
Cons - to be honest I think most of the cons were related to our specific room (405). In effect the ski lockers and so piste access were directly above our room, but due to lift/stair access we had to walk the entire length of the building to the stairs and then the entire length of the building to the ski lockers. The balcony was no more than a concrete slab accessible from ground level, even though we were the 4th floor due to terrain. TBH if the balcony door had a key we’d have had far better piste/ski locker access. Generally we only use the balcony for beer chilling but, due to the layout had any one wanted to help themselves they could have easily. The accommodation was compact, there were 2 of us in a room that could sleep 4 (bunks and a double) but I’d not want more than 2 in the room
Would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely, great resort great location, but I would specify that I didn’t want room 405, and ideally would request something on the 5th floor!
Also, as an extra example of staff/communication/customer service. One if the party left his hat in the room after we checked out, realised when we got outside into the cold, but unfortunately transfer was long before reception opened so keys were posted into the box. He emailed asking if it was found could it be sent on in return for P&P. By the time we landed back in the uk he’d had a reply saying it had been found and asking for the address to send it to.
Can order for the bakery and collect at 8am which is nice. No hassle at all, good position, helpful staff.
No oven but there was a microwave, hob, large fridge and a dishwasher.
It was well equipped and the staff were lovely. Easy access to the slopes and Belle Plagne is great
Rooms were very spacious all in all a great holiday. Quite expensive on the slopes but to be expected.
La Plagne is a great plac3 to ski.
As the apartments are located on a slope, there are two sets of lifts where one caters for level 1 to 5 and another 5 to 9. These lifts are on different ends of the apartment block. So, it may be a bit of an inconvenience with ski boots. Thankfully, we were located on 5th floor and that's also where the boots room are.
The apartments come with an allocated enclosed car park however you would need to pay extra for it. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Note though they are not open the whole day (when we were there anyway) so best to check so that you can time your arrival.
We got appartment 902, a duplex appartment under the roof.
It was a nice and cozy appartment with a livingroom and open plan kitchen downstairs. In the hallway there was a toilet and a very handy small utility room with space for jackets, suitcases and boots. A small balcony was attached to the livingroom with view over Belle Plagne and the ski slopes. The couche could be turned in to a double bed (good matresses).
Upstairs was a bedroom with 2 single beds with built in wardrobe, a bathroom with seating bath and wash basin and a saparate toilet. At the vide there was a double built in wardrobe with a lot of space for more clothes and blankets.
Overal the appartment looked very nice and bright and had a good lay out.
The girl at the reception spoke English and answered all our questions.
There is a paid carpark in front of the building and a covered one 100m further down the road.
The slopes are a 100m walk and the village centre with shops and restaurants is 200m walk.
All in all a very nice place to stay for a ski holiday!
"The nearby spa was fantastic and take plenty food and toilet rolls. The shops are expensive. "Read full review
